That duck-face thing is, like the twerking of Miley Cyrus, an example of something you only notice when someone gets it slightly wrong. Most models in media images pout, when ordinary people do it in their facebook pictures they tend to overdo it just enough for it to look strange. Fake tan on Jersey men is another one.

I will not post the pic and become a part of it, but there is a local news article going around in O-Town that has been all over my FB wall this morning, featuring a 'heartwarming' story of a dad who beat the absolute shit out of an 18 year old babysitter who he caught molesting his 11 year old child.

No doubt, you will not find me defending or feeling sympathy for any child molester, nor can I say I wouldn't necessarily feel overwhelming pangs of violence myself if I had a kid and witnessed this.

However, the victim's post-beating picture, a very gruesome pic of his swollen, battered face, is being circulated along the web while folks cheer at the heroism of the father and how 'awesome' the dude's destroyed face is. and it is just fucking disgusting.

(folks, mind you, that normally claim to be hippie pacifists are sharing this).

observations from a FAMOUS RESTAURANT in NYC. they hired a firm to find out why they were getting bad reviews.

lol it's easy to solve mysteries when you selectively ignore all the other feedback unrelated to speed of service

'we were a great restaurant until wi-fi addicted customers sunk us!'

27 out of 45 customers asked their waiter to take a group photo. 14 of those request the waiter retake the photo as they were not pleased with the first photo. On average this entire process between the chit chatting and reviewing the photo taken added another 5 minutes and obviously caused the waiter not to be able to take care of other tables he/she was serving.
