System has such a lackluster personality. maybe it should be programmed to generate and send fanmail to ilxors

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

Based on the response, the great majority of ilx emails remain valid, but the majority of these are rarely or never examined. Those who, like me, have dead addresses which cannot be updated make up about 20% of ilxors.
My conclusion: if you try to send a personal email message via ilx, the odds are 2-1 against it being seen in a timely way. With odds like that, the failure rate will probably result in very few attempts to use that feature.

My ILX login email address is long dead and gone. I've never understood why there's no option to change it, I wouldn't think that'd be too hard to code?

Well, now I just feel bad for luring you into saying your addy works.

Missed this but would have voted "No, it is dead and gone" - would like to see the hypothetical feature happen someday.

Wow. Creames Fartpoop barely posts at all compared to how often I think about their username.

mine's an AOL address that I registered when I was a kid in 1998. I logged into it for the first time in ≈ 4 months and was greeted by an enthusiastic WELCOME TO AOL popup; all of my contacts and messages (probably just spam and ox gallstones...) have been purged, but I guess I reactivated it logging back in, so I'm now free to receive webmails I might not ever read.

came here to crack joeks, but now I want to nominate
I am very particular about how I answer polls and these choices displease me.

For ILM at least, lolz.
