I started paying less attention to Ott when he started spouting unforgivable classist and queerphobic bullshit on another message board, and stopped paying attention entirely when he started going toe-to-toe with whoever and whatever on Twitter with the same ""rhetoric"". This was a while ago so my points of reference are cold. Has he changed or does he still get drunk and tilt-at-windmills and bully girls and queers online? But then I have no taste for "A+ trolls"

feels like a huge bunch of the young male critic contingent from a few years back are/were really into this Critic-As-Pretend-Bully thing, like they're gonna paste you one if you betray some imagined cause. confidentially though I don't think any of these guys are really very good at fighting

havent listened to be quite honest, i knew they went under the obscure column of shoegaze bands as opposed to MBV and ride tho

i might do a deep dive on the genre, i have quite a bit of vacation time coming up

Moose are one of the reasons i found this board and here i still am around seven years and 10,000 posts later. they only started as a shoegaze band with their first three EP's (aka Sonny & Sam EP). by the time their first album ...XYZ come out they were completely different band. they actually got better by mellowing out with "Honey Bee" and Live A Little, Love A Lot both being outstanding albums.
