Think I'm going to start tracking the animals used on baby clothes due the seeming abundance of moose and racoons:

Madchen, Friday, 19 December 2014 20:18 (nine years ago) link

Wow, what a cutie!!!

We've got lots of owls but that's mostly my fault as I am partial to them.

carl agatha, Friday, 19 December 2014 20:59 (nine years ago) link

omg so cute!!

My guy is only almost 3 months old and we've already gone through baby clothes with foxes, dogs, cats, bears, ducks, reindeer (tis the season) and dinosaurs. And we have a blanket with owls on it.

Lovely!

I had to post this because, while I didn't quite capture it, Lulu collapsing into laughter is my favourite thing in the whole world...

I can't seem to get my kids into the muppets no matter how hard I try.

how's life, Monday, 5 January 2015 17:01 (nine years ago) link

tbh she got upset five minutes later, when Fozzie's being booed off the stage

Rallsballs@onelist.com (stevie), Monday, 5 January 2015 17:18 (nine years ago) link

Haven't tried the Muppets yet but F adores the Furchester Hotel (Sesame Street and BBC co-production).

Madchen, Monday, 5 January 2015 19:58 (nine years ago) link

Ivy was pretty into an episode of Pee Wee's Playhouse we watched with her but I don't think Jeff and I can handle it. I put on Avatar the Last Airbender when we're hanging out sometimes but she just ignores it until the closing theme comes on. Then she does a little baby dance.

carl agatha, Monday, 5 January 2015 20:08 (nine years ago) link

We binge-watched Avatar last winter and Abby would always dance to the closing theme!

Oh man. Pretty sure I blocked out the memories of that time period! Super-cute, though.

Michael - got myself a Fujifilm X100T for Christmas! Here's one:

schwantz, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 04:38 (nine years ago) link

Pam is looking for a high-end compact / compact system camera, and the Fuji X models are definitely contenders. I have one friend who never touches his Canon 7D now he has an X100S.

Re: films...

Ava's favourite film ever is The Book Of Life.
Lulu's is Ghostbusters.
I think Lukas Moodysson's We Are The Best! is top 3 for both of them (they repeat the song(s), not the swearing, thankfully).
They are at the age now where they both claim to hate Frozen.

Michael Jones, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 09:42 (nine years ago) link

Lucky you!

i saw frozen for the first time over xmas. am prepared to revise my opinion at a later date and following further rescreenings but it seemed VERY GOOD.

Rallsballs@onelist.com (stevie), Tuesday, 6 January 2015 13:14 (nine years ago) link

great photo schwanz

gr8080, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 13:16 (nine years ago) link

My coworker's little girl loves Frozen stuff (toys, clothes, etc) but told her mother she doesn't feel like watching the movie.

tokyo rosemary, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 15:33 (nine years ago) link

We're at that stage too. We own the movie and watched it constantly for about a week and spent much of the summer listening to the soundtrack. But right now Abby is just into having her hair braided over her shoulder like Elsa and eating ice.

how's life, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 15:39 (nine years ago) link

my gf works retail and often wears her blonde locks in a braid and occasionally hears children ask their parents "is the Elsa?"

Benson and the Jets (ENBB), Tuesday, 6 January 2015 15:58 (nine years ago) link

She doesn't read very much yet, but lately one of her favorite things to do is to page through grown-up books and pretend to read them out loud. This is a book about medieval warfare that her brother got for christmas.

"You can build a siege tower with friends. If you can make it, you help build something that can throw something to other castles if they’re fighting your castle. "
