I remember Geir giving us a pronunciation guide once. I was in Norway for work a few years ago and one the guys there was named Tor. All the Americans called him "tore" but I did notice that when other Norwegians referred to him it sounded more like Too-uh. So the "r" at the end isn't likely pronounced very strongly if at all. Maybe more like Gay-uh.
