It was because then as now I was struck by how those questions sounds more like a clinical taking someone's medical history to find out when they became a sad egg than suggesting that stopping those things led to depression.

what do ppl think about unbookmarking this thread? i've been reading it consistently since it started but as of late the memes seem pretty recycled and maybe this idiom has reached a redundant point? but i don't want to miss some amazing new innovation in facebook memes. i'm so conflicted. sufjan, i feel like you probably have some good advice here.

currently, we are running open loop. you get your memes. you dump your memes here. there are no repercussions. you close the loop by starting a separate thread where ilxors comment on the quality of the posts itt. but if you aren't careful, the feedback thread could discourage a poster from posting a truly innovative facebook meme itt, and you'd miss out. so you need to cut the comments in the feedback thread with some Treeship. it is important to have just the right amount of Treeship in your feedback thread.

tbh thread probably peaked in the first 3,000-7,000 posts, but i also feel like i'm actually seeing less of this crap on fbook. maybe i blocked the right people, or maybe there was some saturation point among sincerity-favoring aunts and uncles, and some key link in the viral food chain isn't backing up the desire of open-minded 13-year-olds to see deep inspirational thoughts. i dunno.
