winning that last deadpool fight is proving consistently impossible for me; getting ganked on the fourth round every time

you have any good vs. team powers? i've been heavily relying on GSBW's Sniper Shot

maybe. I've been playing with boosts on that round and getting closer.

loving the new pvp buffs; 290 torch + 280 patch + 270ish Loki rules

forks, Thor + Daken + OBW seems to be a popular choice for the 4-wave survival node.

I've been using Thor + OBW + Captain America and I cruise through them. Mostly through Cap, his Blue and Red powers just keep cycling through as the rounds go, giving me repeated shields and blasts.

I do well with X-Force/IM40/Classic Spidey

I'm been having lots of luck with laken/falcon/blade. They just ramp up quickly with all the strike tiles, and then blades attack tiles really start doing a lot of damage by the time you hit the last guys. And falcons blue comes in handy in cleaning up the countdown tiles

For the waves I use Punisher/Falcon/Captain America. Iron Fist is a better choice than Pun, if you have IF. Remember to end the goon rounds without ending your turn.

I read everything about how IM40 was gimped if you took him to 5/5/3 but adding in that green makes him a lot of fun to pair up with X-Force ime, because with a high-enough level X-Force you get two characters with (depending on board composition) 4 great nukes, one of which is an insanely expensive don't-use-it-unless-it-ends-the-game (ps judicious Recharge will allow you to use it to end the game) AoE

I use 2* Cap with Hulk and IM40, but it's a really slow process (SSA only hits for ~670 per) if I don't use IM40's blue and red powers to take out the non-goons.

xp interesting re: 5/5/3 IM40 vs 5/5/2, esp. how green is probably the undisputed best color in the game now.

Huh, didn't realize IM40 was buffed to drain AP with the higher levels of the Red and Blue abilities. Nice. Still stickin' with my 5/3/5 build though.

Classic Storm's green ability also got... buffed? at some point, allowing you to strike more tiles depending on how many Green AP you have banked, somewhat like like Ares' attack.

Don't think I'll be able to get through the gauntlets, I'll probably prioritize getting my Season XII 10-pack first. Goodbye, Blade and SG covers! ;_;

that AP drain is from your own stock, though; not so nice

IM40 is basically a finisher unless you lean heavily on Recharge; I try to alternate yellow consumption between IM Recharge and X-Force/Spidey heal (depending on the dmg I'm takin) and usually end up going into nodes 2 and 4 of the Deadpool gauntlet with 20+ in red, blue and green, often allowing me to murder 1-2 opposing players and then lock down the other one so I can build up a Surgical Strike or multiple X-Forces to murder the third

I have been happier with this game skipping the pve except for the deadpool daily ones.

I've had great luck beating the 4th Deadpool wave with Patch/Spidey/OBW. Friendly protect tiles and good countdown management. By the final round, it's just a matter of saving up enough red to 'Best There Is' the entire enemy squad down to nothing.

PVPs give me retaliation anxiety.

Classic Storm's green has always been like that.

I'm not sure if the best color is green or black. Surgical Strike is probably the best active move in the game.

I kind of wish Modern Hawkeye was a three-star, although they would immediately nerf Speed Shot

Loki with 5 green gets you something like that: enemy drops a 4 in a row, a turn later you get tons of ap & blast away. he's like top 5 now ime

With his added green he's definitely one of the best support characters. Purple shakes up the board. Black gets rid of pesky tiles, and now green is great on defense for pvp. Such a fan. Wish I had some green covers though.

Pulled a red Patch yesterday -- should I respec him from 5/4/4 to 4/5/4? I've learned how to work with BR at 5 (still not 100% safe though), and TBTI is so expensive, I wonder how worthwhile it is to level that up?

tbti is expensive but is one of the best one shots there is. You just have to have the right guys with him. I like 3/5/5

I was 4-4-5 for a while, but a couple weeks ago I switched to 5-3-5. I pretty much never use his red.

why would you go 4-5-4? unless you don't have a fifth yellow. his healing is really the only thing good about him. green is ok but it'll f you up as much as not unless you have a loki at 5 black. I guess you can finish with the green but then you're waiting too long.

I'm disappointed that I'm at a conference all week and so can barely play when my team during the current pvp buff is l280 5-3-5 patch, l~270 5-3-5 loki, l290 5-3-5 torch, and l280 3-5-5 lthor + that loki +l290 5-5-3 laken. those teams are soooooo fun to play with, and I'm on the road, with iffy wifi, and this game kills my iphone battery on 3g

the reason I like three green is that you just wait to use it when you have an available match three purple. Also at three green it only makes three strike tiles which doesn't make everything go berserk with some cascades just murdering your guys.

Yeah I was lucky in that my best 3* character by far was 3* Cap, who was 1/5/5 for me - so his red move does 3700 damage, and his blue move makes a 325 strength shield (plus a stun), and each returns 10 AP. So I just spend the first wave building up enough blue (and using OBW's purple move to get some more blues) to make 2 or 3 shields, and then just cruise the rest of the way slamming a red attack every 3 turns while taking 0 damage.

I can't remember now, did Cap's yellow protect tiles used to have the ability to overwrite enemy strike/attack/protect/countdown tiles?

don't think so

They do if for some reason you leveled yellow past 3.

yeah, if you upgrade all his abilities they let you overwrite more types
