there's definitely the hint of math in here, and it's way heavier than other records of its type

is this where I mention the Mitski album from last year too? check it out, srsly

not familiar w/Mitski

yeah i like this because it's definitely got great hooks and pop instincts but i hear elements the aforementioned bands, Polvo, etc that type of stuff without getting too in the capital-M math like Don Cab or A Minor Forest or whatever

Thanks for the Mitski tip. I'm a sucker for this kind of style and the songs/lyrics/persona are more distinct/memorable than most. This is what I'm hoping the new Waxahatchee album will be like (when I get around to hearing it).

it's pretty good

'my dead girl' is the lower-order classic on this album, based on 2 listens, but it really is all great

I was already sold, Major Arcana was one of my favorite records of the past few years, but this is even better, I'm over the moon.

New album sounding good. "Cry Cry Cry" is huge, one of their best.

Her voice is great but Rabbit Rabbit album songwriting seems musically formulaic to me .
