Is it just me or is there a Hulk bug on his passive, where (from the nerf) he's only supposed to generate a rage countdown tile once per hit, but when you fight the AI it still acts like it used to (one rage tile for every 5% damage)

Going back to my selective cover leveling, my reasoning is that I'd rather have that 500 ISO than a non-optimal character. I think that this is more relevant to someone like Lazy Cap, since anything less than -/4/4 is somewhat useless (well maybe not, looking at his powers again, he can be useful in PVP). (I don't know about Classic Mags, though, esp. at potentially 5/4/1.) I'm also feeling pretty good about my 3* roster, so the need to just get some character's level higher isn't that urgent.

Loki or GSBW might be a better example than Lazy Cap.

yeah, but a leveled character is what it's all about anyway. once you get em maxed out, you can tinker with cover replacements after and 500 iso is nothing. even for 5k iso i don't think i'd not use a 3star cover regardless of if it were optimal.

Using Patch against a black Carnage is ~complicated~.

today's deadpool got me my fifth green gsbwidow card and lets me level her up to 153... her green attack currently does 3500 dmg to all enemies; between that and the purple green creator, she's gonna be a fun get out of jail free card

I'm still playing this but I haven't really been adding any purple stuff (I can't remember what it's called even, what's wrong with me) so I have amassed a fortune... 125000 or so purple stuffs. Are any of these guys worth boosting yet?

Those are all 3 star versions btw except Xforce obviously.

Kinda tempted to boost Dr Doom, even at that lower level his purple could come in handy with my lack of top-tier purple options. Blade and Squirrel still too low to really consider, Widow's p useless until I get more greens, Spiderman is a maybe? Psylocke isn't inspiring esp. since I usually have a dude whose black or red I like... maybe Falcon? I need your guidance, ILX-Statix.

xp didn't even consider torch b/c I usually roll out Pun or Hulk, why is he so useful?

torch's green, unleashed with 15 green in reserve, does like 1400 per turn; the black is a great nuisance and the red is a solid attack with none of hulk's blowback.

I like Torch's red because it's great bang for your buck -- cheap and does lots of damage.

Last week was my first time pulling a three star I didn't need. It ruined my whole day.

I have maxed Spidey and IM40; basically, if you can get Recharge to go off with all three countdowns intact, you are about 75% guaranteed a win because you can lock down everyone with Spidey's blue and then nuke them with IM40's red. Then, you only have to worry about getting enough blue to tide you over for the rolling stuns and getting enough yellow to fire off another recharge and reload IM40's red. (Since my IM40 is at 166, I also use X-Force's green to chip away at health and shake up the board before throwing out another recharge.)

Note that when this strategy doesn't work, it goes south super fast.

Will M: Definitely Captain America. Maybe Doom and X-Force. 3*s are cheap to level up to 120 and 4*s can go to 172 or so cheaply.

I... took nobody's advice and leveled CMags. But it only cost like 20% of my purple stuff to max him to ~120, so I think I might still do one of these other ones.

Man so purple gems/powers are really borderline useless at the 3* level, eh?

Steve Rogers Cap is a good choice; his red is great once you get it going

Also there is nothing useless about GSBW's purple, especially if you have maxed out green as well

that definitely makes sense, i actually got her to 3/5/2 thanks to the daily deadpool, i am considering boosting her up to 120 as well (even if it's jsut to have her as a green battery)

once you get her last green cover, she's a monster.
purple also okay for spidey if you have two heavy hitters and want to play him defensively.

right? the issue is that you won't be able to continuously play for as long as the shields aren't there, but who cares

gsbw / old bullseye / new thor = game on imo

I might choose spidey over old Bullseye for the last-ditch team heal

fairly well i would imagine but the matches might be slow; how levelled is your xforce?

also, since the team heal doesn't carry from match to match, that's only useful in case you're losing and i daresay nobody's gonna knock you off with gsbw/nuthor/+1 on anything less than a full team at half health unless you're drastically punching above your weight

my yearlong absence basically means i am on the levelling treadmill right now to get a team of 10 3-star 153/166 guys together; i am obsessively spreadsheeting this nonsense with a malleable gameplan. they were wise to increase the rate of sugar water drip; this is almost exactly the least amount of daily progress i require to feel like i'm DOING SOMETHING which i am not, but hey

I think my other option would be GSBW/Steve Rogers/Loki to avoid the green collision between GSBW and fat Thor, retain a slowdown ability (Steve blue), get a single target nuke (Steve red) and a team nuke (GSBW green), a nuisance color drain (Loki green), the ability to steal opposing protect/strike tiles (Loki black), and the option for either a green battery (GSBW purple) or a board shake (Loki purple).

i still haven't played with cap yet but i see the appeal. as i slowly level steve rogers, i would like to.

I didn't "get" Steve Rogers until I got into the low 100s and his red went from "eh" to "holy shit" as long as you can protect that countdown (ie, fuck you, Falcon)

mine's 1-5-3, i'm tempted, but it is hard to spend another 20k upgrading another 3-star red/yellow/blue to 110-120ish zone so soon

then again it's not like my iso-8 (I REMEMBERED THE NAME) is appreciating in value... i kinda just wanna see if i will get more good covers so i can get someone to 166?

5 in blue and/or red is useful in PVEs with goons, though, and if you're facing Turn To Smoke ninjas, you can use the blue to stun before you kill them to avoid creating the attack tiles.

Lately I've been using X-Force Wolvie + CMags + Loki. It turns out that having 7 moves that shake the board around is really good. Plus they are in every color and a passive.

Yep. I’ve bee using Bullseye (Dark Avengers), Magneto (Classic), and Loki. I have matches that are finished in a few turns.

When you do the taco vault thing, it flips through all the logos of the things you could win. Is there a connection between what you click and what you get? Or is it just a cool visual thing.
