i dont think theres any easy explanation for why bron is shooting so terribly its prob a combination of things he has i feel like always been streaker than most and was never pure

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:19 (eight years ago) link

his form is bad for sure

, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:20 (eight years ago) link

People have down years shooting the ball too. If Ray Allen can have one anyone can.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:21 (eight years ago) link

I think Lebron's shooting form is fine, he just floats and fades a little too much (something he cut out in Miami)

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:21 (eight years ago) link

It's not like he shoots gross line drives like kobels

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:22 (eight years ago) link

he's also been playing on a scrap heap team for like the entire playoffs

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:30 (eight years ago) link

def a factor, but hes missed a ton of easy looks too

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:31 (eight years ago) link

his shooting has always been finicky but def in the last few miami years their system was so smooth that i think he was just in a perpetual rhythm, whereas with the cavs everything is still kinda herky-jerky even when they clicked later in the season

like you see him taking a lot of shots in these games where he comes off a pick and roll and like, takes a step towards the basket then resets and stops for a beat and shoots a jumper

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:36 (eight years ago) link

ya tru

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 19:40 (eight years ago) link

Steph's numbers post-fall are bad

Field goal shooting: 26-of-73, 35.6%
3-Point shooting: 10-of-36, 27%

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:03 (eight years ago) link

but it makes me nervous

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:03 (eight years ago) link

yeah cld easily see his body being not quite right after that

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:04 (eight years ago) link

landed on his arm really awkwardly too, surprised he didn't mess that up

brownie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:04 (eight years ago) link

he needs to stage another fall. a fall like the one that made him good at basketball, though.

Mr. Murphy in the wine bar. (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:05 (eight years ago) link

he came back and hit like 5 three's the game

, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:05 (eight years ago) link

rip

brownie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:05 (eight years ago) link

shoulder arm head, also just takes your brain a while to get mentally on track and not feel like you are gonna get injured every time you get after it

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:06 (eight years ago) link

basically we are due a great curry game tonight

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:06 (eight years ago) link

dubs just need to play like they did the last 3 mins of regulation and they will win 400-15

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:09 (eight years ago) link

lmao

Mr. Murphy in the wine bar. (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:14 (eight years ago) link

if the warriors play like they did in the final seconds of the 3rd quarter in game 2 then the Cavs win 86-0

brownie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:14 (eight years ago) link

if every play for both teams are mo speights missed dunks the final score will be 0-0

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:15 (eight years ago) link

i'll take it

brownie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:16 (eight years ago) link

is there any benefit whatsoever to throwing david lee in there to get some quick bench buckets or will he just fuck things up

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:29 (eight years ago) link

not saying that to be like "oh i wonder why their traditionalist overpaid superstar isnt playing," i understand why he rarely played long after the injury, but at this point why not try every gun in your arsenal?

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:33 (eight years ago) link

hes been really bad when he has played

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:36 (eight years ago) link

People have down years shooting the ball too. If Ray Allen can have one anyone can.

Or Ray Allen's been juicing!

Falconetti Pot (Leee), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:38 (eight years ago) link

David Lee could maybe throw dollar bills at Lebron, see if that stops the King.

Falconetti Pot (Leee), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:38 (eight years ago) link

well obviously he cant defend for shit lol, i mean just like a few quick bursts to blow through to the rim and get some post points

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:41 (eight years ago) link

leave the defending to..literally anyone else

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:41 (eight years ago) link

Yah David Lee would be a desperation move at this point. He's just too out of rhythm and out of shape to be effective.

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:41 (eight years ago) link

His touch has basically abandoned him

Spottie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 20:42 (eight years ago) link

dubs just need to play like they did the last 3 mins of regulation and they will win 400-15

they should always play like they're down by 12. similar to how some NFL teams have a mediocre offense but run a great 2-minute drill I feel like the Dubs are basically unstoppable when down by double digits

i can't wait until later today, when an important basketball game is being played on television

brownie, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 21:32 (eight years ago) link

lag∞n, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 21:34 (eight years ago) link

i can never get to sleep earlier than 1 am these days anyway but if i had a normal smart-adult sleep cycle it'd def suck

5PM gametime is not practical for west coast. 6 also not ideal. Should start at 7PM PST imo.

Mr. Murphy in the wine bar. (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 21:41 (eight years ago) link

Why not 7:30
