when i worked at a small investment group during the 2010 finals, my boss would take his son to the heat games that would end at like midnight and then be in the office at like 6 am

he might be dead at this point for all i know

lol they used to show the finals on tape delay at 11:30pm. They weren't even broadcast live! I guess I should count my blessings.

1. ultimately it's not /that/ offensive bc this is sports
2. that said the cavs swept the Celtics and while I knew that was likely to happen it still saddened me
3. the cavs are playing an inherently ugly game that stands in contrast to the direction the NBA is going in overall, a direction I find thrilling and balletic but has drawn a lot of skeptics who are attached to outmoded ideas
4. the narratives of a cavs win will be unbearable in a way that won't really happen with the warriors although there will be some of that
