what the fuck are these???
This is a pretty common practice. The "guitar" was never signed at all, only the pick guard (you'll note that the tone and volume knobs overlap the actual autograph). Certain enterprising individuals will buy pick guards and have anyone who is remotely a "celebrity" sign them, and then they affix these autographed pick guards to the cheapest Squier (or non-Fender Strat knockoff) they can find, selling it as a "signed guitar." They're all over eBay.

Drag City got the iphone videos linked above yanked off youtube within a day or two. I wondered if maybe they were planning on releasing a live video or lp. Now they've posted pro quality clips of Junkie Nurse and Back to School. They sound pretty good. So, maybe!

I don't get it.
"Dusting off the sax" still makes me chuckle though.

It looks like the new album will be recordings of them warming up for the first reunion shows. No new songs! I'm still going to buy it the day it comes out.

Oh, er, hm. I was initially very excited but less so about a self-covers album.

Looking forward to this.
I saw them live in Tucson at the DPC back in '93 iirc. Odd show. The band got lost and kept calling the venue asking for directions. The opening acts played and most of the audience left. They finally showed up around 11pm and played to a nearly empty room.
