I'm not hugely prideful about my records tbh, as long as they play reasonably okay I'm fine with it, but I have a plan to finance her further education with some of my White Stripes rarities, so might shift those to the loft in the near future!

Ha! Very wise.

I've found that being prideful about any material possessions (including the clothes you are wearing) is generally incompatible with the yogurt-and-applesauce-covered whirlwind of destruction that is my darling Ivy.

The clothes I am wearing, that is, although if you come within range, the clothes you are wearing are fair game, too.

been a couple weeks now -- she has complained a little bit about "all the work" but I think that is just that summer feeling lingering... only real issue is that she is in a different class than most of her friends from kindergarten. but hopefully some new friendships will develop.

A good friends 5yo did that thing this year of loving their first day at school, but then being genuinely appalled at the idea they had to go back again the next day

apparently! I don't eat squid at all tbh, but my other half wasn't too worried about it!

I admit I'm a little skeeved out by the whole ink thing but I am often skeeved out by seafood in general.

Marin looks delightfully devilish in that picture, btw.
