i just popped in to see why this thread has 4500+ posts and

My theory is that while I'm building levels, I only care about getting 13 covers because any character at 166 is going to be powerful enough to survive a sub-optimal build until I can get the covers I need to respec (as evidenced by my still-rules-the-school 4/4/5 IF, a 5/4/4 Patch that I'm still leveling who is still viable at lvl 135, and a lvl 126 5/5/3 Doom that can still melt faces; PS I need so much ISO)

i am simultaneously fascinated and horrified!

GSBW, Patch, Doom, Thor all worth leveling with those covers. maybe Beast too.

I recently maxed Doom, feels like he's one of the victims of power creep. I'm at 5/4/4 right now, feels like his Purple is the only power that's still dangerous

It's too bad that Doom and Blade collide with each other on red because otherwise that would be a hilarious combo

Although Blade achieves the same effect by himself, only on a smaller scale, so it's really an unnecessary combo

BTW Falcon remains the world's best support character; he makes every single dmg/protection character hilariously overpowered

<3 Falcon so much, but I keep needing to feed him health packs.

I maxed out my 5/3/5 Doom, but rarely ever use him. If I need one of black, blue, or purple covered, maybe he'll see playing time, but purple can take an awful long time to set up to be useful.

Squirrel Girl's yellow does suck but yeah 166 first and respec later as DJP says

Doom's purple is ludicrous and his blue is massive too. agree that his black which used to be scary is now lame, largely bc of higher health now

played it 3 times to no avail. once he hits that red i am fucked and it's tough to do that much dmg quickly w/ xforce. ugh

I beat it on my second try w/ my level 181. I used full color+gr/bk ap boosts, plus 100% rainbow damage boost. Your priority is to match red, yellow, and TU, in that order. You need to play defensively in this one. Dominant color is red. So slowly collect your bk ap until there is enough red on the board to deliver a knockout blow to AI cyk.

Not sure if this strat is viable with my (still) 4/1/4 XFW.

It's a 1-on-1 fight, damn!
Definitely gonna boost it up 100%. I have a Lvl 242 XFW at 5/5/2, so I've got a solid chance, I think. Will report back.

I won it on my second try, boosted in green/black. but my xforce is 270 5-5-3. I just collected enough black to shoot off a pretty quick ss & did 9000 damage.

pulled my first 4 star deadpool with the cover

nice! i did it with my 3/5/3 at level 180. used the defensive strategy, and waited til he popped revolutionary to pop my black skill...

...and then i got ant-man from the pull. bleh

I did it on my first attempt with a 188 2/4/3 X-Force, green black + all colors + all dmg increase boosts

It didn't seem too hard, I used the same defensive strategy as the one above and kept hitting SS and XF whenever they came up; Cyke never built enough red to hurt me and I ended about half health without needing to use Recovery

(pulled Deadpool, need to pick a character to dump for him or grind some hero pts)

BTW, my Lazy Steve Rogers is finally going to be 3/5/5 soon even though he started off as 4/5/3 -- finally pulled his blue today, and also getting that last blue from DDQ.

I ended my relationship with Bagman months ago. It's looking most likely that 2* Binary is going to be the unlucky one.

I only have 4 2 stars left, obw, storm, ares + wolvie. the first three are my standard deadpool daily team, & I keep wolvie only b/c of nostalgia, plus he's still fun when buffed.

Blah, at level 143 I can't even survive one optic blast.

Tempted to sell 1* Storm for a quick 5000 ISO.

how you guys are ever getting rid of characters is beyond me, the whole ocd comic collector mentality is what this game is truly about.

I still haven't spent a dime on this game and don't have any inclination to do so. So it's either trash a **** card or trash a ** character.

i ended up spending some cash because i took, um ten months? off but otherwise the game generally provides you with the in game currency to buy more slots

With my fully leveled XFW I had no problem with Cyclops. Beat him first try. I'll be saving the token until they add some more 5*s to the game.

there's no real reason to keep 2* Human Torch or 2* Captain Marvel, right

It really sucks that Ragnarok's blue power doesn't heal when you use it for team up. Oh, great, a couple of charged tiles. Thanks a lot.

all the 2*s are worth keeping for the PvE events, since they'll always have at least one that is required

All those times I patted myself on the back for not leveling up my undercovered XFW while sitting on a heap of ISO? Regretting that now.

DJP, I don't have 2* Cap Marvel or Torch. Torch is especially redundant if you have the 3* version.

As for PVE, sometimes I just hold onto my pulls for a little in case a 2* is required, then I plug them in as needed.

Would you get rid of Rags instead of one of the **'s?

also I've fully covered 1* Spidey (lol) but haven't spent any ISO on him, maybe I'll dump him too

I've done that twice now. Haha

It's sort of a waste of ISO to not just sell the covers I guess.

1* spidey is actually fun to mess with, especially that purple power that shits critical tiles over the board. i might max him for giggles

Is Doc Oc as bad as his character ranking suggests?

I don't have many covers for Oc yet so it would be fewer resources down the tubes.

Hahahah I beat the node through pure dumb luck. Near the end, the AI had three turns where it made a red match (one of which I could've altered or matched myself), after each of which I was sure that I'd be getting an Optic Blast KO... but I must've been denying it red all match long so that with a 2-3 XFs, plus a couple fortuitous match-5s, I'm now sitting on a Legendary Token. ^^

And I still have 5 rainbow damage boosts left!
