plug.DJ/ILXORS – it's like Outloud but not defunct and like turntable.FM but internationally accessible and with more bears

there's no bear avatars though or levels or points collecting.

im in here for an hour or so tho just to try it out. its still youtube/soundcloud but you dont need to make playlists you just add songs to the main playlist

you know how everyone hated plug at first as it wasnt as good as outloud? now those people will say this isnt a good as plug :)

it is ugly but seems to work in a pretty straightforward manner, more so than plug

there was a thing on the plug site the other day saying that if everyone who had used the service in past month donated $6 they would be in the black again, so yes, it seems like they are doomed

from what people have told me - soundcloud seems to work better here than in plug. I've never actually used soundcloud in plug though

I'll have a proper look at this another time, briefly looking at it now though I think I prefer the simplicity of this compared to plug!

jukebox + hipster = juqster
Juqster, a new type of person that enjoys sharing music with the world.

i know people hate change and everyone who hated plug will prefer it but at least there is an alternative if/when plug goes

i like the larger video screen though. Much better for watching videos and still able to chat

I like that the chatbox is much larger too, that's one problem I always had with plug... the chatbox was really small and half the screen was devoted to dancing avatars!

a lack of lagging so far in its favour but i miss wooting and dancing

you can still heart songs and it gets added to a list of favourites

I miss the dancing bears tbh - maybe a mod can install a gif of dancing bears at the top of this thread so we can look at it while playing songs in juqster

theres an option to make room private so only those with the url can get in

i think on plug you had to choose whether to search plug or youtube, right? this site searches both

we are currently trying out ads to see if this is viable solution. If you are running ad-blocking software and want to help out plug, you should consider white-listing the plug.dj domain to allow ads to show up. It's up to you.
