Suffered for this one, Midges were a nightmare. Taken from Elgol look over towards The Cuillin mountains.

And yet you took the time to clone all the midges out of the photo. That's dedication to the craft. ;)

They were all on my face...

Smooooth.

I don't usually post photos of my kids in here, but I don't suppose many - if any - of you frequent the parenting board, so what the hell..

These are two not-quite-SOOC B&W JPEGs with the Fuji 35/1.4; name-calling single shots... ("Hey, Ava...", etc)

chinavision! i like the sense of light in yr photos, the way you use underillumination

drash, Sunday, 11 October 2015 13:48 (eight years ago) link

thanks - that's really something I've sort of adjusted to over time. I used to err on the side of overexposure and only gradually started to allow photos to become darker. basically I stopped worrying about underexposure, and if something is a dim negative, I allow it to stay that way through to the end.

chinavision!, Sunday, 11 October 2015 16:14 (eight years ago) link

this being one example

chinavision!, Sunday, 11 October 2015 16:56 (eight years ago) link

i do consider possibility of going 'public' in some form or other (e.g. via website or tumblr) at some point, but currently reluctant/ unprepared to do so

also have idea of self-publishing some books someday maybe

It's really good.

I'm just doing the usual of snapping hoardings and through shop windows on my lunch break / commute home in the absence of any subjects or going anywhere interesting.

That 1st one reminds me of the split lens technique they used in the 60's & 70's, the 3rd must be the most depressing sign to some lonely folk...
