these are the sixth seed spurs who lost in the first round that we are talking about right

micah, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 11:28 (eight years ago) link

Yes, the team that was one win away from the 2 seed that added a perennial all star, that one

zoso def (m bison), Tuesday, 27 October 2015 12:19 (eight years ago) link

theres no way the pels will win enough games to get the brow mvp.

feel like a. there is a growing recognition that this is a silly way to go about things b. he might just be enough better than everyone else to overcome this prejudice c. nola actually has a p decent team + a major coaching upgrade (tho they r p banged up right now)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 13:44 (eight years ago) link

okay guys season commences and so does my hand-wringing about cavs injuries this year

marcos, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 13:52 (eight years ago) link

also fu lagoon now we have to see olynyk's goofy-ass face every time this thread opens wtf dude

marcos, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 13:53 (eight years ago) link

Don't forget league pass will be free for the first week of the season.

and thanks for the heads-up spottie

marcos, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 13:54 (eight years ago) link

pelicans are extremely banged up--starting the season with third-string C, they just signed ish smith b/c tyreke and norris cole are out and jrue holiday is on 15-minute restriction for the next few months. it is entirely the davis/anderson show for a while.

a healthy new orleans is no joke imo but idk if it's gonna happen this season

no formal predix but in the west i like the clips rockets and warriors more than the spurs or thunder due to depth. could be clips year tbh.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 15:51 (eight years ago) link

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:42 (eight years ago) link

it funny cause the beginning of the season is actually much better than the early winter believe we have discussed this

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:43 (eight years ago) link

ooh idk about that, early season always the lowest scoring while offenses figure stuff out iirc

k3vin k., Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:47 (eight years ago) link

it's good if you like to watch disasters

Nhex, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:51 (eight years ago) link

beginning of the season is fresh teams r excited to play theyre figuring stuff out etc weird shit happens players make the leap mid season is just a slog injuries boredom etc take their toll then around the allstar break it heats up again

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:52 (eight years ago) link

energy level def higher first two weeks of nov than jan

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:52 (eight years ago) link

also there are fewer dudes with season ending injuries by that point

k3vin k., Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:53 (eight years ago) link

yup

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:56 (eight years ago) link

i mean the quality of play is not great but its more fun than the mid season doldrums imo

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:57 (eight years ago) link

also fun to watch new dudes on their new teams. and rookies running around getting yelled at. new coaches expressions etc.

Spottie, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:58 (eight years ago) link

yeaaa

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:58 (eight years ago) link

Spottie, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 16:59 (eight years ago) link

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 17:04 (eight years ago) link

pelis have no choice but to give significant minutes to nate robinson given jrue's minutes limit and cole still being out (i think), love it

slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 17:13 (eight years ago) link

brow-nate is an excellent odd couple

lag∞n, Tuesday, 27 October 2015 17:17 (eight years ago) link

Bobby Marks
@BobbyMarks42
There is a possibility that the Memphis will not get the Clipper pick until 2021. Year will be based off the year Toronto receives LAC 1st.

some of these picks arent even real

z. lowe has talked about how derozan will never be any better than this and their window is now

call all destroyer, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:51 (eight years ago) link

is there a limit to how many picks a team can trade other than the consecutive years thing

ciderpress, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:52 (eight years ago) link

masai should probably focus on winning a playoff series or he might find himself without a job next season. team as constructed shd be capable of this but the way they got demoralized by DC last yr leaves questions

Xps

art, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:52 (eight years ago) link

someone is going to pay derozan more than he's worth next year, hopefully a team i don't like such as the lakers

i think u cn only trade them like 5 years out? clippers may have gotten around this by having like cascading protections on picks

lag∞n, Thursday, 18 February 2016 20:58 (eight years ago) link

oh hey there are basketball games again tonight

ciderpress, Thursday, 18 February 2016 21:02 (eight years ago) link

@SHowardCooper
Jeff Green has been a Doc Rivers favorite for many years. Doc told me Green is one of the best NBA people to ever walk the Earth.

Spottie, Thursday, 18 February 2016 21:08 (eight years ago) link
