I drew two Miles Morales red yesterday, a 4 star Jean Gray blue, and one or maybe two red X-23s. I'd been shoveling all my iso into lady thor for 270 so I've got several 3 stars to champion now. & then I will begin finally leveling some of these 4 & 5 stars I've been accumulating!

I've championed all of my maxed 2*s so that I have a pipeline for getting to cards for my 3*s (I have 11 of them championed and 4 166s that I haven't championed yet because I haven't seen covers for them: Grocket, Luke, GSBW and CSpidey); right now my ISO priority is leveling 3*s that I have covers waiting on for championing (levelling CTorch now who I hope to max before one of his 2 covers expires, next will be either Daredevil or CStorm depending on how quickly I can grind ISO). I've also managed to get at least 1 cover for all the 5*s so I currently have a 0/1/1 Surfer, 1/2/0 Phoenix, 1/1/0 OML and 0/1/0 BIBSpidey.

BTW OML is a grossly unfair character; I have been using him on PVE and lower level PVP nodes because he just sucks up all the damage and then heals back to full if you don't transform him; even if you do, he usually has enough strike tiles out with his yellow that you can murder the other team before they can hurt you too badly and then you can heal back up to full in the next fight.

nice, I don't have OML yet. my surfer is 1-3-2 & my phoenix is 1-1-1. don't have the 5 star spidey yet.

OML is the perfect transitional tank IMO at 1/1/whatever because he does 5* match damage, tanks so many colors due to his tier, and will heal 657 per turn if everyone is alive AND you haven't leveled him at all

I played this morning with Doom + Lazy Cap + Phoenix & it was hilarious b/c my 5 in a rows were buffing Doom's fist tiles like nuts & we were doing like 2000+ damage per turn on those alone. a little like when Blade gets going really strongly. I haven't yet seen her resurrection power in action.

I'm kinda amazed at how, after two years, they've made this game really really fun again.

Her resurrection power is hilarious because you've often banked a ton of green by the time she comes back (unless you've spent it with another character) and she just chomps on everyone

actually Phoenix resurrection + OML transform = 2 characters with full team attacks with a stockpile of the color that triggers that attack (green for Phoenix, yellow for OML)

DJP, remember when you said I couldn't be jealous of your roster because I had maxed Cyclops and Blade?

hahaha ok ok grass/greener, but damn I still only have a two-red Phoenix which is barely usable. (Well, as "barely" as you can get with a level 270 5* character.)

it's kind of hilarious how OP SS seemed on first introduction and especially in that intro board where you had access to all of his powers and then as each subsequent 5* has come out, it's been apparent that a low level SS just gives you hit points with no actual utility in a fight beyond the boosted match damage (which shouldn't be discounted entirely but pales when compared to the utility of OML's black+yellow or Phoenix's green)

yeah maybe but SS has a plump heal in blue, a mostly useless color otherwise, is immune to stun, and his black fucks with the board in a good way. He's very solid.

Heroic 10-pack results: 1 Yellow Beast (champ), 1 Green Human Torch (champy champ), 1 Green Hulk (champy champy champ), rest two stars for the mill.

I drew a yellow Kingpin, an extra Cmags, a few useless three stars that I sold b/c lol @ 166 them : Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Mohawk Storm, and then two stars. But a good draw on the large.

drew a Thing & and an Ant-Man on legendaries.

was gonna try to get the green Iron Fist in the Hunt but I hate the grind of pve so much, can't be regular enough to stay at the top. wish they'd switch away from these "competitive" pves to events like the Gauntlet, play at your own pace, win each battle just once. the other pves are such ass.

For me, I can tolerate PvEs is the point scaling is higher, so I have to do less missions. PvEs like the Hunt where you have to do so many missions for such small point values drive me crazy, I can do all the missions and not make the top 500. So I give up after the first day.

PVEs with survival nodes are the best. They give off a ton of points and they're easy with the right characters.

I've finally done it: my IM40 is at level 167 now. ;_;

I think all of my 166 & 13-covers are now champed/167d except for panther (and he's already champed, just waiting for card 14)... was hoping i'd have a cool 4* to start pumping iso into by now, but no dice. :( all those legendary tokens spread super thin (although now I think I have at least one of like 3/4 of the 4*, so that's something)

The Elektra challenge was easy with 3/5/2. I think I beat it the first time around too.

Old Man Logan red (2/1/1) the best low-level 5*? totally usable.

I'm now out of maxed 3*s to champion.

The new Quicksilver is kind of crazy -- use 5 black AP, get at least 3 black AP back, repeat. Goes well with Iron Fist too.

phew, I don't know how to beat the elektra challenge with my 4-2-1, l152. any tips for that make?

deny purple. let him put out 2 red strike tiles then steal them. you'll need to have some luck.

yeah I can try that. I get frustrated when I have to try and try again, so I'll give a few more tries. I was getting smoked by his black attack more than the purple in the two times I lost. & I'm always, stupidly chicken to use boosts, because I'll "waste" them, even though I'm sitting at 30 in everything.

boost that shit, you'll thank us later (and get most of the boosts back within a week); I can get Blade down to 4K pretty reliably with a 127 2/2/2 Elektra and I'm pretty sure I can beat him if I can get my purple out earlier while denying his purple and sucking up black and red

I tend to hoard boosts not because I think I'll need them later but because I forget I have them

OML is totally the best low-level 5*, I love him to bits (and I don't even have any of his red covers yet)

I might try to run with my 2/2/0 Elektra a couple times, but I don't know if I want to put ISO into her and I'm ~very~ low in boosts (like 3 all-color match damages and under 15 all-color stockpiles).

my 1/0/2 elektra stands no chance. bah >:(

also i'm basically going for more or less the strategy above for roster management--i keep juggernaut for DDQ, my 2*s are currently a strong magnow/obw/thor and a hawkeye that i'll likely sell + a rotating door for "needed" characters for PVE points.

then there's the rest of my roster lol. i have all but 2 3* (vision/bullseye), all but 4 4* (carn/nova/mr.fan/venom), and all but one 5* (spidey), but they're largely sooooo undercovered that they're useless. aside from XFW, DD and IW my next most covered 4* is deadpool 4/0/1 and fury 2/1/2. kind of useless. SEVENTEEN 4*s at 4 covers or less!

I just realized that championing is having the weird side-effect of KEEPING me from dumping ISO into my 4* characters, which is probably a good thing since I don't have enough covers for most of them to be viable outside of PVE/initial PVP rounds

OTOH I am seriously considering stopping my champion roll and putting as much ISO into OML as I can to make him more tanky (but OTOH with appropriate grinding I can max and champion Black Panther by this weekend and get another legendary token... hmmm)

I'm in the same boat. All Iso has been going into my 3*s.

I just took OML up one level to 271 and I see that the next level costs 3668 Iso -- but I looked it up here http://marvelpuzzlequest.wikia.com/wiki/Iso_costs and I see that the Iso costs just swing around crazily.

I just champed Panther, forget what I got from him, but the days of having like 100K ISO for me are over.

This I did not expect, not with a 2/2/0 Elektra! Got another purple Red Hulk -- purple red, does that make him Magenta Hulk? -- to make him 0/0/3.

I love that the D in the screenshot is fading into the background, making it look like it says "OWNED"

Considering this match was a 106 vs. 270, OWNED is very appropriate! (The concentric circles in the middle of Blade's forehead make him look like Bullseye to me, which is even more apt.)

Got a L111 2/1/2 Elektra. Feel like I'm just on the cusp of a few lucky turns from beating it

Looking at the Quicksilver notes and not seeing what changed. did they just update the dmg?

black cost went from 11 to 9 (min 5), damage reduced
blue jackpot damage increased
green went from 10 to 8 (min 5), makes locked tiles instead of criticals, damage increased

using black when it's at 5 or 6 ap is super effective. he's a lot better.

You know what's incredibly frustrating? When you load up full boosts for one match and accidentally reuse that setup for the next match that you didn't need it for...

You're at a slight disadvantage from me I think because her black ability is actually more important than her red. Collect as much black sand purple as you can while managing the number of reds so that he doesn't create strike tiles till you're ready. If you have enough black above yes about to this once of his active abilities, Shadow Step the turn before to use his attack against him. And hopefully you have some purple banked so you can let him put out a strike tile and then steal it to increase the damage you do.

I always do that with three boosts, it's why I don't have any right now!

Stupid tablet, "above yes about to this once" should read "and he's about to use one." Anyway, hope that helps, though a kind board is even more helpful!

Leer OTM, you want to suck up purple to keep him from dropping his attack tiles and black so that you can give yourself respites from his damage that also hurt him, plus red to slow down his attack tiles and drop a Ballet of Death for extra damage. If you can steal a couple of his tile and stay behind Shadow Step, you're golden.

On the 3*s - yeah, I'm sitting on about 60K iso, not sure if I want to max more 3*s or pump them into my 4*s. I can send Lady Thor to 188, or should I max out the kinda OP Iron Fist or Scarlet Witch? Or other 3*s I just like, like Rocket & Groot.

Due to our mysterious benefactor I'm sitting on 167CP. I can blow 120 of it to get that final cover for my XFW, or wait a couple months for it to hopefully show in the Taco Vaults. Even then I'm not sure it'll be the right color. Plus I'm gonna need... 80k? iso to take him to 275...

Speaking of Taco vaults, I have tokens: 65/69. Indecision.

I ended up beating Blade after a few tries. Drew a useless IW (I have her cover maxed and will not level her further unless there's a buff).

Used cp for a legendary yesterday and drew Mr Fantastic.

Right now, since I'm in champion mode, I'm not bothering to hoard tokens to increase the chance of getting the rarer cards because I'm basically using my 2* roster as a resource farm (that occasionally returns CP and tokens) so very few, if any, of the covers I get feel wasted.

My current 3* strategy is to not worry about 166ing them until I get that first champion cover, at which point I grind ISO to level before the card expires. Currently working on Black Panther, next will be Mohawk Storm and Beast assuming the covers don't expire before I get to them. (also my kingdom for a Luke Cage cover)
