I was really enjoying IM40/FatCap/IF as an escalating sledgehammer team but IF takes way too much damage

btw I let everyone get under my skin and instead of championing Colossus, I sold all of the outstanding covers I had so I could bring my 4/3/5 3* Cyke up to 105 in anticipation of finally getting that last cover

I mean I wasn't championing Sentry anytime soon so that didn't really hurt anything but I am a big fan of Fastball Special

Fastball Special is great but Cyke is a MUCH better investment

How badly do I want that red Nova? I've been hovering in the low to mid 1900s and keep getting dragged down by other opportunists.

Finally got my 14th SWitch, but I can't champion her yet because I've earmarked all my ISO to Captain Sam for tomorrow's DDQ4.

I finally cover maxed my Iron Fist, and have him to 161 now. probably the last 3 star I'll 166, but a big one: he's obv amazing.

I'm currently #1 in this stupid pve, which I'm only doing to see how hard it is to get the dumb legendary token. but if this holds up, I'll get 3 professor x covers, plus 3 black panther covers, a bunch of iso, some command points. & I drew a red hulk from one of its tokens already. it is...not super fun though. hate monster moonstone so much. it helps that I have a maxed xforce & model 40, both of whom are buffed. and loki. & my 4 star deadpool is decently covered and leveled.

model 40 is a beast now.

Use XFW with XFDP: cast XFDP purple, then XFW's black, and giggle. Team up with IM40 so that Deadpool can use his red more often.

Getting the legendary from this event isn't too hard IME, just need to average 10K per submission, and grinding the last sub can usually get you over the hump.

yup, i'm using that very XFW/XFDP/IM40 combo. but still too lazy to actually play hard enough to make any placement in anything lately

Didn't realize they retconned the character in the Agents of SHIELD show to be her, so I guess that's why she's showing up now...

Finally got today's PVE CP on the sixth try, bought a 20CP token, scored an OML. Had to burn Moonstone to make room but she's not much of a loss.

champed my iron fist today, had the extra iso, need another cover for the legendary & who knows who long that'll take, his covers were hard for me to get

still hanging onto #1 in the pve, should get the 25 command points today.

victories in the pve subs have been useful: drew a legendary token on one of my gold event tokens, which got me a blue prof x, so 2-0-0 now! I *really* want a playable prof x, I love his style. if I hang onto #1 in the pve he'll be 3-1-1, not playable but at least on the way.

With today's DDQ, I had two extra Wandas so I finally 166ed and championed her. Got a purple Prof X, who's now 0/2/0 and can become more invisible as a result.

for fun i am rolling gsbw/falcon/panther in this pvp since they're all champed and boosted... so far this is great: get as much yellow and purple as possible to get battleplan (and inspiration on battleplan) and use the purple to get some good cascades with gsbw's power... just finished a match in like 10-15 moves which included a sniper rifle into rage of the panther finisher. not often i'm cycling through every dude to do damage knowing i'm gonna aoe blast everyone to hell at the end...

(still using fatcap/im40/hulk usually tho, feels so obvi)

totally jealous of your Iceman, abanana! I still only have the one cover I got from the initial PVE which I was dumb enough to play.

speaking of, I ended up #2 in the iso-8 tourney, was so boring that I lost #1 on the last day. the other player was just going on and on & I couldn't handle anymore dark avengers. so boring. got 2 prof X covers though, that's nice, at 2-1-1 now, unplayable but in the right direction.

I guess with the crappy state of my 4 star roster maybe I should consider champing the 8 or so cover maxed 3 stars I have left, just for the ISO? I dunno. I've been leveling 5 stars, took Silver Surfer to max at l 345 (where tile damage is already excellent) & phoenix toward 315, her current max. I have few 4 stars worth much iso right now, IW is fully covered & at 167 (have wasted 4 IW covers in the last 3 weeks btw, thanks legendary tokens), and then a bunch I could take to ~160. not sure.

rags: the AI is pretty good with him which makes me think he's underrated.
mohstorm: her black is good -- high damage and it can destroy traps and block special tile placements. still kinda bad as a character.

Euler: I'd champion all 3*s for the tokens. I regret wasting so much Iso on IW -- it's like 200K Iso for one token? not worth it.

yeah I like mohawk's black a lot, it's just that her other powers are bad. too bad, the 1 star storm on the same model was strong before the nerf. I hope they at least make a nice 4 or 5 star storm eventually.

rags yeah that mf messed me up in the dumb pve. I just don't like playing characters with powers that hurt my own team. that's why sentry is the only 3 star I don't have (sold a maxed one back in the day after the nerf).

of the 3 stars I don't have maxed right now: cap marvel is strong, maybe her first, then daredevil or she hulk, not sure after that. beast maybe. middling but they have their uses. and the model 40 buff gives hope.

the only 3 stars I don't have maxed covered are quicksilver and bullseye. need one more cover for bullseye, he seems underrated to me. quicksilver is blah.

FINALLY got a Vision. So that's every 1 / 2 / 3 star in the roster; lacking x-23, Spider Gwen, Miles, Nova, Brock Venom, all the 5 stars but Phoenix and whatever's new guy of the week.

for the three stars, i'm missing between one and three covers for deadpool, quicksilver, rocketgroot, daken, squirrel girl, bullseye, blade, beast and colossus... then most of the covers for doc ock and vision.

She-Hulk rules for nuking enemy ISO and stealing special tiles; the AOE board shake is additional gravy

Shulkie underrated! I still want to try her out with Patch and I guess IM40, where the biggest dilemma is if you want to use red for Patch when IM40 goes to sleep and devastate one enemy, or go for team-wide devastation with Shulkie. TBH though I rarely use her green.

Beast underrated too -- you need to think of him as a cheaper, less power R&G (plus eventually his Jean covers).

Bullseye is fun particularly in survival nodes. I like bringing him with Daken.

I have all 3*s characters, and all are maxed covered. I've champed all but 9 of them, I'm going to feel real weird if I ever seriously consider champing Rags and Sentry.

I have all 4*s except Gwenno, but she's the top prize in the Simulator this season so I'm not going to stress too much. Currently in top 50 of the Quake PVE, too. XFW is cover maxed, Fury and XFDP are both at 12, and after the previous PVE where the X-Forces were buffed, I'm going to pump the two of them up once my 3* priorities are done. Looking at the upcoming DDQ4s, I think I have a fighting chance in just 4 more: X-23, Jean, Iceman, and maybe Miles. (Considering that I only beat 4 nodes during the first cycle, I'm more than content with my performance so far.)

I drew my third 5* cover this week -- which also happened to be my third red Phoenix. :\

Beat the 4* node today only because I accidentally tapped on the FIGHT NOW button and I had a boost equipped.

JG vs. Moonstone isn't going well for my 2/2/2 JG -- but I see that a few in the d3 forum have done it at that level.

Mine was 3/2/2, and a guy on the forum said he beat it with 1/1/2(!).

I just beat Moonstone with a 5/2/1 lvl 111 Jean Grey. Took several tries but the boosts helped (2x dmg all, +2 all, +2 blue/purple)
