I played online a little bit but was a bit overwhelmed by the veterans there. CTF was nuts. However, I loved downloading plugins off of and combining them in all sorts of ways in singleplayer. Even had fun online playing with civil war tagsets. Definitely one of my fav games.

Yes! Love it. Wonder if it still has a community. I think so, as The Tain looks like it's got some new content as far as I can tell.

So weird that from this point forward the show and books will be telling different stories. But then:

"So much of what we’re doing diverges from the books at this point .... People are going to be very surprised when they read the books after the show. They’re quite divergent in so many respects for the remainder of the show."

How the fuck do they know what Martin will or won't include in future unwritten books?

I imagine they're in contact with him enough to know the outlines of what he's going to do.

Sure, no doubt. But ... he's got hundreds, thousands of pages to write over the course of several years. There is no way the guy is going to stick to whatever script he has in mind and equally hard to believe he won't crib from theirs.

equally hard to believe he won't die of a heart attack before he finishes

Maybe George actually has all the books written and he just gets off on withholding them

Haha that's great.

I mean maybe the show won't exactly spoil the books, but I find it hard to believe that the show will vary so greatly from the endgame of the books or answers to big questions like "who are Jon snow's parents?"

10k answers and no longer any spoiler issues; new season deserves a new thread, no?

As I understand it the TV show will partly be ahead, but also partly behind?

Chewshabadoo, Tuesday, 5 April 2016 18:42 (two years ago) Permalink

It's already that way I think
