To be fair to whiney -- and i wouldn't go too far with this, believe me -- he seems to embody a type of attitude that was popular on this board years ago and isn't so much now. He likes a lot of music and has fierce opinions so he'd be good to have around if he would cut out this kind of hardman bullshit.

If the new terms of ILX means that making fun of earnest, enthusiastic posts is implicitly sexist and ableist and bullying, then I'm 100% fine with forks deleting this thread and personally taking a break until I'm ready to fit in with the new tone of the site.

I think there's still a place for gentle ribbing here but I can't speak to your true intentions with threads like this overall.

It bothers me that she thought it was somehow motivated or predicated on me knowing she was a woman and/or autistic. It wasn't, and I certainly didn't mean to remind anyone of mansplaining show bros.

the reason people are suspicious of your motives is that the KAS thread wasn't especially gushing or OTT even for this year alone (see: king, 1975, young thug)

the thug thread has never felt particularly gushing imo
