starlord is not bad! but countdown tiles suck. whichever one I have at 5, red I think, does like 6000 at my crappy level. but it's a countdown tile.

Iceman with 5 blue is a patently unfair character; 6 blue triggers a 4-turn stun on a character, during which another 6 blue drops a nuke on anyone on the opposing team (right now unbuffed mine does over 6K)

IM40/Iceman/Jean ignores black, which seems weird after being in OML land for so long, but makes up for it with AOE nukes on purple and green, a nuke on red, a stun/nuke on blue, and a yellow battery that gives you tons of red and blue and decent amounts of green and purple; esp in PVE it's hilariously easy to rofflestomp your opponent with minimal damage

Dan, I have 3/3/3 Jeanie and 2/4/5 Icecreep. Do you think that's enough to rofflestomp PVE?

I'd think so, esp with IM40 powering them

my strat is:

Recharge
blue stun a character
punch another character
AOE if possible
repeat

I've never used Iceman's green because I don't have it; his purple is nice for getting more blue on the board too fuel Make/Punch but I prioritize Jean because her green puts special tiles on the board for you and her purple removes enemy special tiles, including countdowns

but putting iso into my 3/2/1 Jean Grey means it's not going into someone else... decisions decisions
also when i pull like another Kid Nova or Red hulk I'm just like ehhhhhhh

Nhex, Ant-Man with blue is awesome! He takes some time to set up, though, but he's great against Muscles and anyone who spams (Daken) or steals (Moonstone) special tiles.

3 more days til i chmap kamala! then another week until i champ storm! then back to the drawing board, considering champing beast/daken/shulk/quicksilver/capn marvel (for the 183+ rewards, jean/x23/meh hulk/iceman/thing) but maybe i should finally just bite the bullet and pump it all into XFW (300ish K ISO to champ, but then i have a champed 4 star). i've already got... 20 champed 3*s? how goshdarn many do i need? the answer is as many as i can until my 4*s are viable, i guess, which i do not feel they are at alllll... aside from 13c XFW, i've got... devil dino at 8, invis/4dp/elektra at 7, ironhulk/flaptain at 6... it's creeping closer to 4 star time tho!

okay I didn't realize Beast gives you Jean cards, some of my ISO priorities may have just shifted

yeah, at this point the only thing i am looking at for champing is the reward cards... that's why i am even considering rags/daken (x23), beast (jean), storm (thor), quick (iceman) and if i ever get them to 13 covers, sentry (red hulk), mystique (iceman). as well as the other 3 stars i just want to champ because they are badass, once i get to 13 covers: luke cage, cyclops, switch.

i have a feeling i will actually end up champing like 10 more 3*s before this game ends/i die/heat death of universe/i stop playing (listed in descending order of probability)

IMO you should consider championing Mystique regardless; her purple/black combo, esp. when boosted, is insane

Beast is also a lot of fun when he's boosted and his yellow has sometimes saved my ass so it's kind of dumb that I haven't leveled/champed him yet

otoh Jean/Iceman rofflestomping is too fun

my jean and iceman are at 1/0/1 and 0/0/1 respectively, so it'll be a while before i get to enjoy stomping those roffles :(

Enh, XFW is my first champed 4* (and until last week my only one), and while he's useful in PVE, he's definitely not world-pwning like Jean, Iceman, or IMHB, and there are plenty of missions where he isn't much of an asset.

Cosigning Mystique -- I liked to use her with Patch. You know, for the rofflelulz.

i've already had to sell off one or two of his covers over the past ~6-9 months, tho, and it'd be nice to be putting those towards evenytually getting more leg tokens. surely it'll take over a year before i can even consider jean/iceman/imhb as useful (maybe HB first, since he's 1/2/3 iirc)

checked, my Jean Gray is 4-2-3! I guess that's decent enough to bring up after I've finished champing the rest of these 3 stars.

xforce is very useful because of his black: it's a cheap, quick kill / maim even for big time foes. he's not top tier 4 star anymore, but for speed he's useful even in pvp. nb my only champed 4 stars are xforce and lady thor so if I wanna run 4 star I don't have a lot of choice...yet...

I got a War Machine for finishing top 50. got an Iceman from my last pve token.

oh man! something must be in the water right now. i got:
- legendary for champing kamala: my first 5 star spidey! (purple)
- legendary for the xfw node in ddq: my second 5 star spidey!!! (blue)
- iso-8 brotherhood token: hulkbuster black! (1/3/3)

When the daily pops, I'll get enough command points for another legendary token... which I am DEFINITELY opening ASAP ;)

legendary for the xforce dpd : electra red, which is blah-ish but it puts her at 4-5-2, just 2 covers away.

my daily reward is 25 command points, and I have 14 command points already, so I almost have enough for 2 draws from the 20 cp pile.

Are the Civil War Legendary tokens worth it? They're 20 CP.

Basically exactly the same as a legendary token, except you get a 10% shot at 5* cap or 5* tony instead of a 10% shot at (phoenix/surfer/OML) or (phoenix/goblin/BIB spidey)

aka: if i am spending CP, i'm buying the 20 CP token every time (I want to build up my 4*s anyway)

And after not pulling a single 2* Bullseye for three weeks -- he was at 142, and I really needed to open up roster spots for several 4* and 5* covers in my queue -- I get 9 of those today. Let me roster Silver Surfer, so now I have all the 5*s except for Cap.

some advice plz

i have championed storm classic, black widow original, and thor marvel now which is like my core 2* team. i also have an max cover magneto, wolverine astonishing, hawkeye, human torch, and ares. i then have a bunch of 3* and 4* guys but really 1-3 covers in each so very very far from maxxing a single one out. should i champion some of these other 2*s or just save any iso i get for the next while until i have a 3* or 4* to use it on?

also should i delete any of those 2* covers? i have a 2x 3* black widow, 3* ragnarok, and a 3* bullseye i could roster. not sure what ppl think about the 3* black widow? i know the 2* is supposed to be v good.

I love 3* GSBW and still use her often. Unfortunately though the game has kind of moved away from these slow build-up characters and defensive characters

The Champion mechanic is nice because you can build up your 2*s to be as good as viable 3*s until you actually do have a cover maxed 3*. You probably don't need more than six 2*s, though (if even that many). OTOH you get the nice benefit from 2* Champions of slowly treadmilling to their 3* version (like Astonishing Wolvie -> Patch, OBW -> GSBW, etc)

I'm thinking of selling my The Hulk (Totally Awesome) to free up a spot. Anyone like that one?

Mordy - go ahead and champion the shit out of your 2* imo.

It will take a long time to pull enough covers to make your 3* roster viable and championing will keep you competitive in the meantime. mags/hawkeye and OBW/wolverine will take you a long long way.

Don't worry about the ISO, you'll reach a plateau where it just piles up until you get 5-6 legit 3* fully covered. At which point it will disappear quickly lol.

I dunno about gray suit, it's true she's slow but teamed with model 40, or hood or loki, you can get some serious green pretty quick. plus her purple obv. esp. in pve she's very useful, and her color combo is nice: at the 3 star level good purple is hard to find.

Feel like Kamela Khan and Scarlet Witch obsoleted her in that regard, though I still like to use GSBW w/Spidey (who is much worse) and a random Black character for PvEs

3* BW + Prof. X is ridiculous. If you get two match-5s from BW's purple, PX gives you 8 purple AP back.

GSBW, Scarlet Witch, and Professor X form what's known as Charlie's Angels, where once you get enough purple you can easily get into an endless cycle of purple and green generation to destroy the enemy in a single turn. xp abanana otm

still working on SW and miles from viable Prof X but I've been poor-manning it with GSBW/lazythor/hulk
