Also the sell-off rewards are increased, so don't sell anyone until the patch is live on your device.

Nice thing I think is that once you max champ you don't lose your progress, so you can just keep making more from max level, getting the rewards, and reselling them (no need to reinvest ISO taking them to 94/166/etc.)

I don't understand---if you sell a champ then add one cover of that champ back to your roster, then it's right back at a champed max?

If I'm reading this correctly, you get back enough ISO so that you can jump instantly to cover max level once you've gotten 13 covers for that character again, allowing you to start from the beginning of the champion rewards.

I'm VERY tempted to sell all of the 2*s that I don't regularly use to level my 4*/5*s so more of them are useful/maxed at their current level and then just stockpile ISO as it comes in so I can rechamp my auxilliary 2*s later as I reaccumulate covers.

On a max level championed character, it's almost enough Iso to level max them.

okay yeah that is correct:

2* champion: 65K sellback/69.5K to relevel
3* champion: 105K sellback/119.9K to relevel
4* champion: 320K sellback/365.8K to relevel
5* champion: 500K sellback/553.9K to relevel

So I'm now basically never going to sell a 2* cover until it's about to expire and I can't immediately rebuild it to max.

have some covers expiring soon & i'm not sure if i should delete some of my current stuff to make room. you guys seem to be down on totally awesome the hulk who i have rostered. i also have a two star magneto i'm not really using. the other 1 cover 3+4 stars stuff i have: ****black carnage, ****black drax, ****purple howard, ****blue nick fury, ****yellow professor x, ****purple spider-gwen, ****blue punisher, ***red deadpool, ***blue daredevil, ***black dr doom, ***red she-hulk. the stuff i'd like to roster: 2x ***black widow covers (red + purple), ***purple bullseye, ***green ragnarok, ***green punisher, 2x ***black colossus, 2x ***thor (yellow + green), ***blue mystique, ***yellow t'challa. feel like i should def sub out the hulk + magneto for i guess black widow and thor but idk -- any of these must haves? and any of the stuff i have not? (sorry if this format is utterly unreadable - i'm looking at it now and i certainly seems unreadable to me but u guys are experts.)

also somewhat related i championed my hawkeye to go along w/ my black widow, thor, and storm. the other 2*'s i have that i are max level and i could champion next are ares (i actually have a ton of covers sitting around for him so i'm probably him probably next even tho he's kinda redundant w thor), and wolverine. ares def next or wolverine i've heard good things about (and i do have a couple covers sitting around for him). sadly i'd love to champ my human torch who i like to use all the time w/ thor + black widow however i only have 1 red cover for him which :/ unlucky!

2* Magneto one of the best 2*s mostly because of his purple ability (even post-nerf it's still useful)

nick fury is still pretty good but takes a long time to get there, need blue covers and high levels

2* wolvie worth champing just so you can get Patch covers

3* deadpool is kind of a nice wildcard since his pink ability is an instant win m/l if u push the whale button. not a metaphor

Nhex OTM, 2* Magneto is very useful, him witih Storm and Hawkeye will be a very useful team while you're getting your 2* roster up and running. I still use that lineup every day!

Ideally you'll want to keep as many of your 3* and 4* covers as you can so that you'll be able to participate in PVE essential nodes as often as possible and get 3* covers from DDQ, but if you there's a cover you get that you have to roster, 4* Hulk is expendable. But for now, you'll want to focus on getting bang for your buck, and most 4*s and some 3*s will only take up roster space.

You'll definitely want to add 3* Widow and 3* Thor and then Black Panther. From there, Bullseye, Mystique, and Punisher in that order. The last two you can probably safely sell for now.

Also, you might want to consider hoarding all of your heroic tokens and only open standards so that you won't prematurely get a cover that you can't roster within 2 weeks.

Finally (as a general rule of thumb), don't put ISO into characters until you can get them to a usable level (for 2*s that's I think in the 80s, 3*s is over 100). Every little bit of ISO counts in this game, though it doesn't feel so much like it in the early phases of the game.

Colossus -- his black doesn't go well with anyone, and yellow doesn't do much
Howard -- decent with just a few covers, but doesn't improve enough with more. rare covers.
Drax -- high damage but top two powers are poorly designed

Nick Fury -- his blue is still good, otherwise newer characters do better damage
Carnage is powerful in the right teams (hint: Ant-Man) but also deadly to yourself.
Spider-Gwen has a nice stun into damage combo but her third power is garbage.
Daredevil -- fun with Patch. seems to die all the time.
Mystique -- very nice purple, blue is OK, black is outclassed
BP -- amazing team damage but Luke Cage is a better choice in my opinion.
Doom has good damage but Iron Fist has a better black converter, and BP and Luke Cage have better blacks.
TA Hulk has low damage on his green and his black is crap. his blue is OK, and i think he's better than others do -- he placed lower than Devil Dino in a d3 forum poll.

You might as well keep 2*s because the champion sell rate is great now.

looks like the thing to do once you champion a two star (if you have an open roster slot) is start a second version of the same character, get all the necessary covers, then sell the champed one and use the proceeds to build up your newbie, wash, rinse, repeat

I chose to sell 2* max champ Daken, used the ISO to bring a 3* to max (Squirrel Girl, for those wondering) and then stuck a 2* Hawkeye cover in the open slot in accordance with the above plan. In theory I might miss 2* Daken but in practice nah.

I'm seriously considering abandoning the 2* tier altogether outside of my DDQ team (ModHawk/MagNow/CStorm/OBW)

The rough math works out to be something like 7K ISO loss but you get a bunch of tokens, HP, and CP -- I'm definitely going to farm.

HP is the most tempting for me, still hard to get a steady stream of that

yup. I'm still about 4 to 10 covers away from maxing my roster of 2 star champions though; chances are this'll be a july/aug project

No, those don't disappear. In fact it's worth saving your tacos until you have a bunch of them to maximize your chances of eventually getting some of the nicer rewards in a taco set.

Nope, they just get shunted to the back end of your tokens list, but they're still there.

Some events have a vault, i.e. a finite selection of covers you have the chance to pull. Other events (usually for new character releases) are not vaults -- every pull is independent of every other pull. Vaults have an expiration timer, but that just means that it reverts to the non-vault format, at least until the event comes around again.

my buffed & champed lady thor this week, paired with model 40...getting to 1000 in the squirrel tourney was *easy*. gonna do it again in the gray suit one for the red cyclops.

Do you guys know why sometimes the versus has a bunch of v low level opponents to start and sometimes not?

Also what is the power called where every move your opponent makes turns into a 5-match like 7 in a row destroying your sure thing

I haven't cracked the code on the former yet; I usually get one round of scrubs before hitting real teams but every now and then, particularly if I start the PvP cycle late, I get dropped directly into it.

Re: the latter, that is the most aggravating thing

yeah i noticed that too. 95% of the time I will get the dummy CPU opponents, but once in a while you don't get them at all

any opinions on Kate Bishop, btw?

I think she looks super fun but I doubt I will ever get enough covers to make her playable; hell at this point I am despairing of maxing XFW, who I've had forever

just maxed my 19th 3 star, still don't have a 4 star with more than 8 covers.

based on the plays i've had with the covered character in the pve, she seems badass as hell
