Warren is another older white lady located in New England, aside from rallying the Bernie-ites (who can be rallied in other ways) there's not that much upside to pulling her out of the Senate.

imo Vilsack would be a possible "appeal to rural disaffected ppl" pick in that there's a strong identification with agriculture/midwestern values (whatever the hell those are) even if disaffected rural people have little to do with ag these days due to diminishing workforce needs and vertical integration of farming

the upside is she is awesome and a badass and has the ability to churn out viral content via passionate speeches or pithy tweets

she has already been useful as a surrogate. her words would get more attention and weight if she was actually on the campaign trail.

the downside is clinton is going to win anyway and a republican governor would get to pick warren's replacement

im sure ive talked about it already (itt probably too), but julian would be one to look at (joaquin hasnt been in congress that long). julian's got some HUD shit in his closet, nothing that would stray voters away, and he's denied that he's a VP candidate. out of sheer pigheaded san antonio chauvinism, i would be excited if he were selected. but knowing HRC, she'll pick kaine to appeal to latinxs. because he speaks spanish. bc thats how she thinks about shit like that.

Warren being a strong campaigner would be useful if her proposed reforms are adopted in the democrat platform and actually succeed, otherwise it could backfire and burn out her credibility
