if i can hit another luke cage cover or two in the next couple of weeks, he is definitely getting champed. have him at 12 covers now... actually have almost enough iso to champ another already, but none of my cover 14s are coming up in DDQ for a while. he might just be worth doing immediately. considering my upcoming ddq options are octopus, colossus, and ragnarok... mehhhh.

Cage is doubtlessly worth it, Will.

Project 2* Refresh is almost complete. I've sold all of my max champ 2*s and releveled and champed all of them except AstWolvie, Thor and Bagman. I'm now ready to champion my last lingering 3*s (Mohawk Storm, Beast, Deadpool, Quicksilver, Doc Ock, Colossus, Sentry, LOLnarok, probably in that order of priority) with a good pipeline of supplemental ISO coming in from all of the 2* covers I was wasting before which I can also use to beef up the better-covered characters I have in the 4* tier (XForce Wolvie, Jean Grey, IW (lol), Nick Fury, Elektra, SamCap)

and just this second i hit a squirrel girl 14th cover... does anyone use her? might just champ her because i can now (i can live without a high-level luke cage until he is champable, which don't be for at least 3 weeks unless i luck into some of his covers)

I use her a lot, love her purple and green and that's a needed a color combo; obv behind Kamela Khan and Iron Fist but as they get hurt you can circulate her in.

Squirrel Girl's utility doesn't really pop up until you put her up against someone who floods the board with special tiles, at which point she starts hitting like a Mack truck when she's boosted.

Well actually her green is generally okay, the only problem is that the countdown tiles don't often last long enough to dump out the dmg I want from them (the cascades from the destroyed tiles are helpful, though).

line up your AP right and patch/loki/squirrel girl can be a heckuva combo

i went for it because i have no chill and i wanted a leg token. and what do i get surprise another 4* cover for something i didn't have yet, meaning i get to burn another roster spot for a character i may never use loooool

Who do y'all use more: Mystique or Daredevil

DD slightly more, but neither of them are in my regular rotation. Usually I'll team them up with Patch (and in DD's case, IM40 as well) to try to one-shot a scary opponent (with Mystique at 5/3/5 and making sure to do the Shapeshift/Masterstroke combo -- which by itself does 7K -- after Berserker Raging).

Oh I might start to use Mystique more often as a black/purple generator, which goes well with XFW and XFDP.

My feeling is that Daredevil is more useful overall. Mystique's black is amazing if you purple first, but otherwise her blue and purple don't seem very helpful overall.

Yeah, DD is useful if you can get pair him with someone who can shake the board (Loki? Mags? 3* Cyclops?) or tile placers (QS, GSBW?) to try to match your red trap.

DD is better, especially against characters who flood the board with special tiles. His red can be hilariously fun (DD + IM40 = never match red, AI) but because it's a trap tile, it gets overwritten a lot by the characters you're probably bringing him in to counter.

I find Mystique more fun, though. Her purple/black combo can be DEVASTATING, particularly when she's boosted and especially because it involves a stun so you can stop one character and then nuke another.

I use Mystique A LOT. Her purple is tops: stuns, sets up the black boom, but also drains enemy AP. It's her best ability.

DD is an antidote to characters who flood the board with special tiles (Daken, Blade, 3* Bullseye, CMags, Mohawk Storm, etc) which is somewhat situational; when you don't get that matchup, he's not super useful aside from red trap shenanigans. However, when you do get that matchup, you can stomp on some very annoying characters with him (add in the stun and it's even better).

Although I love Mystique, don't get me wrong. I find her more useful overall but I think DD has a better niche.

I agree with all that. I just don't encounter his useful niche very much so it comes down to his red and blue. I like his red but it sucks how often it gets overwritten

i use his purple all the time in soul-crushing PVE nodes, very helpful
mystique's purple only slightly less useful but still great, esp. when they buffed it (forget what the buff was)

Guys, you only use DD's red when there's an imminent red match to be made!

I like having a red battery that lets me spam the board with trap tiles, personally.

One thing about actually using Iceman regularly now is that the developers put a bag over the head of the wrong character.

I pulled another green Phoenix, she's 5/0/4. Not having a purple limits her usefulness!

I hit 1K in PVP for the first time! Yay for IM40 and Iceman!

i am, sadly, still playing at least all five base nodes of deadpool daily every morning. it's the way i wake up.

I play every day, duh. lately I've been playing PVE and a lot less PVP because in PVP I start losing on defense at 200 points (it used to be more like 600). And what I really need now are 4 star covers and ISO, and the command points in PVE build up quickly (2 per subevent + 25 for the progression reward, which isn't hard to get if you play daily). I'm currently taking my Phoenix to her current cover cap, 345, after getting my 4 star Jean to 250 (champed Beast will bring her the needed cover for 270 if I don't get it sooner). After Phoenix I'll turn to X-23, who I may have 270able sooner than Jean since both Rags and Daken give green X-23 and I just need those two for 270able).

i basically play one Deadpool mission a day at this point. as always, MPQ needs fresh content on a constant basis to compete with other F2P games

are there slots in ILX-statix? I'd switch in from my weirdo Valencian clan.

I've gotten 3 more IWs on legendary draws since then and my complaints about those haven't worked but still

Legendary yesterday for red hulk victory: a fifth Fury blue! 4-5-2. Legendary today for CPs at 20: my 2nd Winter Soldier cover. I'm 400 pets in the PVE from the 25 CP progression reward so tomorrow it'll be my 3rd legendary in 3 days

i haven't had a free roster spot in a while so i've been hoarding covers (special event covers i'll still open right away) - so i've got 80 deadpool covers now and a 10x heroic. feel like at some pt i should open the deadpools if for nothing else than trying to get the hero points i need for a roster spot. i'm at 375 and i need 750.

I didn't think I could beat DDQ Elektra with a low 120s X-23 but tried anyway just to see how difficult it would be.

I won on the third attempt.

I think I should stop assuming 120 is too low for a 4* character to be useful.

it took me around 10 tries with 3/0/3, level 140.

If the opponent is a lamestain or if you have stun/invisibility powers, then 100-120 is totally doable. Hell, my Nova and Miles both won their DDQs and they're 94 and 95!

We have an upcoming set of features called S.H.I.E.L.D. Rank and S.H.I.E.L.D. Clearance Level. The first part called S.H.I.E.L.D. Rank, will be released in our next R108 update (scheduled for Monday, August 29).

This first version will give players Iso-8 rewards and access to different features. Players will gain XP from everyday actions like buying packs, and improving their roster by recruiting, leveling and championing characters. All existing players will be grandfathered in starting at the very least at level 5 which grants access to all the in-game features (Versus mode, Alliances, etc). Maximum players will be grandfathered into level 65 and gain all the rewards they would have gained the day they log into R108!

I sold my level-144 ** Storm and my level-144 ** BW for sweet sweet iso and leveled up a bunch of dudes.
