xxpost There's roughly fifteen minutes in the middle of the movie that's just a penis waggling in front of the lens but it's unclear whether the penis belongs to Matt Damon or Tommy Lee Jones.

Tommy Lee Jones isn't looking very good nowadays

Saw this last night. When, early in the film, one hacker instructed another hacker to use SQL to hack a database, I knew I was in for a decidedly dumber Bourne film. And someone actually said 'enhance' re: some surveillance footage. And, lo, it was enhanced!

This was okay but nothing compared to the og trilogy. SWAT van chase was pretty dope.

I just realized that, despite seeing Renner Bourne no more than a couple of months ago, I don't remember one single thing about it. Like, literally nothing.

otm except i didnt like the swat car chase scene. dragged on way too long. I lol'd a the SQL reference and when they said enhance. Literally leaned over to my wife and said loudly "ENHANCE" she was mildly amused. This was not worth the price of admission.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada is great. No clue wtf it has to do with Bourne.

I presume Morbius was referring to The Homesman but I don't know what it has to do with Bourne either

one year passes...

realized the main thing I like about these is there's no - "the hero must defeat X ... but they're missing one of their powers! / have crippling self-doubt! / are limping!" bourne is mostly full speed ahead. weirdly the first comparison that comes to mind is Jane Austen - "how is Elizabeth Bennett going to respond to _that_??"

That one has a really bad anti-climactic car chase.

The Renner one gets bad but starts OK out in the wilderness, made me want another good Bourne set in the mountains, Bourne running from cabin to hut to tree stub.

The American is a good stand-in for later/post-canon Bourne.

eleven months pass...

The Professor (Clive Owen) vs. Bourne scene in the farmhouse in the first film is really subdued godhead action.
