I have been getting a lot of lols out of Squirrel Girl/Carnage pairings in Oscorp Heroic, btw

Still have a lot of ***s to champion ... Beast, Captain Marvel, Colossus, Doom, Torch, Iron Man, Rags, Squirrel, Storm, Punisher, Bullseye, Doc Oc, Quicksilver, Sentry, Vision. Definitely ready for this part to be over lol

Cos I pulled a Sentry last night, and he at least gives Red Hulks as champ rewards. Plus, every time they run Prodigal Sun, I'll be getting a guaranteed Sentry.

ILX-shaming is real, because now I've championed SG.

I champed every 3 star save Sentry; Squirrel Girl is good!

I kinda like Sentry for some reason. He's one of the worst for sure but I use him fairly regularly. Usually only his yellow.

I got my final Phoenix cover as a daily reward. Championed.

Mine is 5/0/4. Sometimes life isn't fair. (I did just champ 4* Cyclops and like woah.)

Huh. I beat every node in Wilderness Survival, but can't move on to the next level?

It's a bug, you either have to give it a few minutes or force close the app for the next Gauntlet event to open.

I kind of wish it was one of the 4*s that people actually care about now, but still; I feel like I've broken a barrier

as someone who recently champed his first 4* (and it was xfw): he is so sick in PVE. also pairing with XFD is very fun. dudes can heal for real which makes them total work horses. you will not regret!

speaking of fun PVE, does anyone else have Silly Strike Tile teams that they like to use to destroy random PvE nodes? I've been having a gigantic blast with OML/R&G/Black Panther (esp since OML and R&G have true healing and can tank the colors where BP would be vulnerable)

still rolling with cage/iron fist/scarlet witch or kamala khan or Magneto as my power team

Patch, bullseye, Loki are a nice combo in this Gauntlet. I also bring my otherwise useless Phoenix for her red to go with model 40 and ice man.

Dan, Wolverine was my first championed 4*, and even though he's mid-tier now, having one champ makes it marginally easier to get your next champ.

the dross but GOTTA CHAMP EM ALL - captain marvel, daredevil, ragnarok, sentry

(that you will win because i have cage at 12 covers, cyclops at 11 covers, and bullseye at lol 4 covers bc i could never get him for the LONGEST TIME)

out of those ones i guess prioritize quicksilver because he's actually sneaky great, esp with invisible woman (her bubbles count as blurs on team up tiles), and kind of in general? idk i like him! plus he gives iceman eventually.

capmarvel gives thing, which is cool. idk i look at my prioritization of my last 11 as "who will give me good covers in 9 months?"

i'm pretty close to championing my first ***. i've been holding off bc i think the ones i'm ready to champ are not super popular? i've got 13 covers for magneto classic and iron man model 40. i'm pretty close with a whole bunch of others tho. anyway since i've been hoarding i now have 640k iso, 123 deadpool covers and 21 heroic covers.

no idea how you manage to keep that much in reserve.
mag classic is pretty reliable and a good first 3 star to have on the front line.

As is Iron Man! In fact, he and Magneto make a pretty good combo, you should champ them both!

yo, mag classic and im40 are two of my absolute JAMS. im40 doesn't need to necessarily be high-level as long as he has level 5 yellow tho... i had maxed him WAY back when his yellow wasn't as good so i can't say. definitely champ mags, that red/blue are great even now that i have like 30 champed dudes

turn 3 recharge

turn 6 hit 'em with both of mags attacks
repeat

IM40 gives Hulkbusters, who is kind of good, so there's at least one reason to champion him. Also, leveling him up gives him more health, and every once in a while you'll use his non-yellow powers to bail you out, and having them at higher levels means more damage done.

Beast
Not a monster compared to Fist, Cyclops, IM40, but underrated! Think of him as a faster, slappier R&G with an AOE but without the trve healing. Hits for decent damage if you get blue special tiles out (which includes countdown tiles, wink wink), so you'll want to rush blue. And once that happens, you can also cast yellow to set up some protects that'll minimize your match damage. I have him at 5/5/3.

Bullseye
Very useful in turning wave nodes into hilarity -- I use him every day in Big Enchilada -- and adds a fun little contest with yourself to see how to get as many strike tiles on board as you can. Also good against ninjas! 5/5/3.

Gamora
She's on my Big Enchilada team with Beast and Bullseye so that I have a decent red and a moderately useful black, but otherwise, she doesn't really stand well on her own. You'd have to include her on a Silly Strike Tile team for her red to be useful, in spite of the nice damage-per-AP ratio. 3/5/5 because there are so many better green abilities out there.

Quicksilver
Underrated, as Will sez. He's good at setting up or creating match-5s (so ModHawk and Professor X are good teammates), but also at lining up matches for trap tiles (so Daredevil namely, maybe Fury). I have him at 3/5/5 because I like to have more damage on green and blue, and when you use his black, it's not for the direct damage, it's for the tile rearrangement; however, you can definitely go with other builds depending on opponents and teammates.

Daredevil
So-so. With his blue and purple, he's decent partner for Patch, especially when you fight against a Hulk or someone else who has a passive that activates on damage taken (the stun, Berserker Rage, Radar Sense sequence does 7K+ base damage IIRC). If you want to use his red, you're better off making the matches yourself so you can recycle the trap tile, and in that case, you might want to bring Loki, Quicksilver, or Cyclops (for his red generation, but you'd want to use that for Cyclops's red anyway) (same with Mags: you'd probably use Mags's powers over DD's) -- basically anyone that can shuffle the board, cause cascades, place tiles to create matches, etc. Best build is situational, I respec him all the time (well, at least when I bother to use him nowadays).

Captain Marvel
Good black/red battery, but she has to tank for that to be most effective. Crucial in boss fights, especially if you have a Ghost Rider with a decent-covered Penance Stare. 5 yellow is the key, spec her black/red depending on your team.

Ragnarok
He's not good anymore, but has some niche uses. You want to generate blue? He's your man/robot. The self-damage on his green sucks but 2200 AOE to the enemy for 1200 to you isn't the worst tradeoff, especially if his teammates are trve healers. He's got pretty good health, so he can be an annoying part of your defensive PVP team (and in that case who cares about self-damage). 5/5/3 because if you're using Rags' blue, lol @ you.

Vision
I keep plugging the Vision/IF/Cage team! I mean, sometimes your Magneto needs a break, so you bring Vision in! His blue/red combo hits pretty hard, and if he's tanking matches, then that's 1K of damage per match 3 that he's doing when you have his blue CD tile out. (You might use his yellow despackling power with, say, Patch, but that's kind of a slow combo to roll IMO.) Also, since his blue and yellow are so cheap, he makes a decent teammate to Kamala -- they'd be annoying as a defensive team, too. I run him at 5/5/3.

Ock
One of the last of the 3*s I championed, I still haven't used him much, but he's probably another good Patch partner. (Also! Carnage.) Not too bad against goons, either, since matching away their CD tiles gives you your own attack tile.

Sentry
poly uses him more I guess? Might be a decent annoyance on defense where self-damage doesn't matter.

Colossus
lol ask Dan.

Daredevil is still pretty decent for the Red ability, though the usefulness of the Purple isn't that good now that we have characters than can blow up Strike, Attack, Defense, and Countdown tiles in one ability (DD's is just anti-strike). Continuous stun seems like it might a good pairing with BIB Spidey, but I only have 3 covers on him.

Radar Sense kills Attack and Protect too! But yes, when you have a Jean Grey, DD is kind of old news.

I like Colossus for tanking and for Fastball Special when I have to bench characters with better black abilities so they can heal. I still haven't champed him, though; still need to do him, Beast, Cap Marvel and Ragnarok.

Buffs Character rebalances coming, apparently my man Star-Lord is among those getting tweaks.

Glad they're fixing the between-screens lag, been annoying me enough to seriously cut down my playing time over the last week or however long it's been since the last patch revision.
