Mordy, she's the 2nd most unpopular politician alive, what did you think would happen? And who's the dipshit, I've been saying this would happen since she stole the primary...you seem to have been deluded. Tant pis

Congratulations on being right. Now shut the fuck up.

i need microsoft installed on my desktop, can you help (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 9 November 2016 15:21 (seven years ago) link

Hey man, I haven't been over to the main thread to gloat...I honestly felt bad for you gals and guys not being able to see the writing on the wall but all you did was mock us

Iago Galdston, Wednesday, 9 November 2016 15:58 (seven years ago) link

Here's why you're a moron. No one gives a fuck about being wrong about forecasting the results. Who the fuck cares? I was wrong - I thought the polls were right. Oh well. People are upset about living in Trump America.

Mordy, Wednesday, 9 November 2016 16:05 (seven years ago) link

Iago i understand you were hoping for a hillary loss and a nation full of shook minorities so you could have bragging rights online but many of us were bernie voters in the primary and hillary was a compromise to a degree.

nomar, Wednesday, 9 November 2016 16:59 (seven years ago) link

Here's a thought I can post here without a second thought:

Fuck you, Iago. This is my fucking life and the lives of my wife and children that are at stake here. Take your smug gloating bullshit and choke to death on it.

Otm. This isn't a fucking game.

Treeship, Wednesday, 9 November 2016 18:26 (seven years ago) link

This is probably banal but my guess is that every Trump voter feels oppressed for individual reasons that can't easily be changed - existential fear, awful coworkers, nagging family, parental abuse, whatever - and Trump provides false but collective outlets for that vague feeling of disenfranchisement. The Weimar Republic was nominally free and democratic, but civil society was abusive to a degree that is unimaginable today. Then Hitler came along and blamed all that abuse on the jews, and suddenly everyone knew what to do with their pent-up rage.

Omitted for poor command of the English language; also banal.

Great that we've identified brown people not voting the way they were supposed to as a major factor in this farce.

please post that on the thread

The photo of Obama and Trump is so damn heartbreaking. Dude literally spent his entire life shitting all over everybody and making up conspiracy theories about them and never once had to pay the price.

It’s rare, but members of the Electoral College sometimes break their pledges about whom they planned to vote for. There have been 157 faithless electors since the founding of the Electoral College in 1787

from the newsweek piece just upthread, it may be fantasy but at any rate "Faithless Electors" is a killer band name
