yeah, i think a lot of twitter superstars just assume everyone else also spends 90% of their waking hours on the internet, absorbing every bad joke and microtrend

Bruenig had a day job (that he has kept) and the writing gig was part time - they definitely took a hit financially, but he was warned

i went to 12 years of catholic school, 4 of them at a jesuit high school, i know a lot of these people, at one point i identified as one, they are okay imo
