As a member of the boomer generation, I can assure you that the "everything that's wrong with this generation!" talk reached epic heights, never again to be surpassed, back in 1967 through 1974. It kind of ebbed around the time of Watergate, bcz the older folks just weren't feeling their towering moral superiority quite as much.

i watched the whole thing and it was the same old bullshit it always is, just engineered to infantilize rather than stir outrage as usual

i'm sure it applies to several individuals, it's still built on phony, vague theories that are useless because generations aren't real. after years, now, of hearing dumb bullshit about participation trophies and the evils of cell phones, a lot of people are going to be open to the exact same bullshit positioned in a way that allows them to feel good about themselves. it's still bullshit. any human being that talks in earnest about the psychological damage of participation trophies shouldn't be taken seriously.
