has anyone else noticed that when you uncheck 'show images' under user preferences, you aren't able to view quoted text in any post that contains a youtube embed? to see for yourself, open this thread with images on and then reload it once you've turned images off. the quoted text will seem to disappear.

this is just a heads up to the mods. it's possible that this bug has been around for years and I just haven't realized it until recently.

the quoted text (assuming there was quoted text in that first message) is nowhere in the page source. i would guess this (and a few other recent things) are parser problems, something like the parser is matching the start of the youtube embed with the end of the quoted block and eating the latter during the submit.
by 'quoted' did you mean using > at the start of the lines like email or the q blockquote markup?

ah, but it is in the source when you have pictures turned ON, which suggests its not a problem in the submit but in the 'images on/off' code.

yeah,I mean block quotes enclosed in [ q ] tags (ex. the "this would be an example of quoted text in a post that contains a youtube embed" quote beneath the embed in my original post, which is visible with images on)
