I champed IW just before NY! Having played with her a bit, I have to say I was burning to spend ISO.

you gotta add which covers you have (they're all 0/0/0 now)! it'll help when deciding what you can get rid off, it's better to dump something you've only one one cover off vs. something you have 13 covers for.

When 2* Cap hits 144, feel free to sell him (unless you're using him in goon nodes to overwrite countdown tiles). You'll want to keep the other 2*s for now too so that you have a consistent go-to team.

ONLY open tokens that are Heroic or better if you have the roster space to add a new character (open standards whenever you feel like, you'll still need a way to get more 2* covers and generate ISO from 1* sells). For example, if you have one roster space available, pull until you get a new and desirable character, then stop.

And with CP, keep hoarding that for now, too -- with your roster, you're going to be concentrating on building up your 3* first, and you don't want to get forced into a situation where you have to sell someone because you pulled a good 4*.

TWO EXCEPTIONS to the CP rule:

If you have a good 3* that's at 12 covers, and you get another cover that you can't apply. In that case, it might be worth spending the 20CP to directly buy the cover you need to champ them.

Also, if you're at 4 covers in one cover and the 5th would be a huge upgrade (like Hood's blue at 5, or Cyclops's red, or GSBW's green or purple), then it might be worthwhile to buy that last cover with CP even if you're not going to champ them.

Looking more closely at invisible Woman, I think 4/5/4 is a versatile build.

^^^ That's what I run with. I toy with the idea of changing it but it's a good compromise overall.

re: advice for remy, I would argue that maxing 2* champion characters is the priority right now, as that turns them into a resource engine to fuel building up your 3* and 4* tiers. So my advice would be:

- continue hoarding hero points to add roster space
- grab all of the 2* characters and roster/champ them (esp MagNow and ModHawk; those two are the cornerstone of making DDQ into a joke)
- when you hit a critical mass of champions (probably 6-7?) start recycling them (sell them when you hit 144 AND you've picked up another cover for them, then reroster and rebuild; selling gets you 65K ISO and you only need like another 13K total to level from 15 to 94 and champion them again)
- roster Juggernaut for the DDQ 1* node; he can solo it and being able to clear the entire thing gives you bonus ISO (a few more 2* champions and you should be able to do this, by which I mean "roster and lvl ModHawk and MagNow" because those two paired with CStorm are easy-mode)

PS I'm ready to say that Invisible Woman is useful in goon nodes.

Or Daken/2* Bullseye nodes.

btw have I mentioned that I LOVE AND ADORE 4* Capt Marvel? Her + Rocket/Groot + Human Torch 3* = lol

OK I am mature enough to admit that IW (at least while buffed) is a BOSS. Her, Mr. F, and Star-Lord or my lolteam for this Heroic event.

I've been running IW/OML/Jean; match yellow (tanked by self-healing OML) to go invisible, grab purple while Jean is invisible, load up on blue and green once OML and Jean go visible again (tanked by IW, who then ducks behind OML with her invisibility) and fire OML black, then IW blue/green, then another IW yellow if OML needs to catch up on heals, all the while accumulating purple in cascades so Jean can smash the entire team with her massive AoE. It's probably not as fast as it could be but it has been fun and saves me a lot on health packs.

I pulled the legendary token from the Hearts of Darkness vault, which I quickly opened and received... my 13th Mr. Fantastic cover. um

Meanwhile I have Nick Fury sitting at 4-4-4 and Elektra at 5-4-3, along with a 4-4-2 Hulkbuster and a 3-3-5 Quake (Quake is particularly galling because my next champion level for SWitch is going to give me a blue Quake cover)

If you pull more Furys you honestly can sell them instead of worrying about champing him. He's my highest level character at 288, and I ~never~ use him.

do ppl use antman? i have been maxing out all of my 4*s with the most covers and he's at 11, not sure if it's worth the 200k tho. I have Flaptain, XFW, hulkbuster champed, and IW, XFDP, Prof X and recently Fury at 229 (11 covers). Haven't used Fury much at all bc he's new ot the list and I don't really "get" him yet. The others I all use a lot (except for IW, who I need to include more). Anyone have a strong opinion about Antman's validity? If I don't boost him, I'll probably champ my 3* bullseye and after that start looking at boosting my 10 cover 4*s.

Antman can be a total nightmare between stealing special tiles, generating attack tiles, and just being a gigantic PITA

He's ranked #20 on the list which reflects the inconsistency involved in playing him but when he works, it's a nightmare to face him

Ant-Man is the greatest ant-idote (hah) to OML. Spam strike tiles? Oh yeah? C'mere a minute! His yellow is pretty damn good, too, esp. at 7 yellow.

Excellent timing for me to max-cover Mr. Fantastic right before his DDQ fight. I leveled him, did +2 all/+2 blue-purple/+2 black-green and beat Doom on the first try.

The main strategy I've seen (and the one I used) is "chase blue/cast blue/chase black/keep Imaginaut up as long as possible/chase blue"

However, this was after respeccing to 5/3/5 so that the stun lasted 3 turns and the protect tiles were beefy enough to mitigate Doom's match damage and a lot of his attack tile damage; also the three turn respite gave me breathing room to clear out attack tiles without having the board change from under me with Doom's matches as well as grabbing more black/blue.

I would level him as I don't think you can fully avoid Doom's purple nuke and you are going to want as much health as you can get in order to survive it; hopefully you can then spot heal from it by letting Doom match your protect tiles (although with 1 blue... yeah)

yeah I didn't realize that his stun gets longer, that would help!

having his black in 5 doesn't seem much better than having it lower; I guess it now triggers on more colors than it does at lower levels? but they're not his colors! nor Doom's. and it doesn't do very much extra damage per match. I suppose boosting damage would help.

also they're bound to rework him soon (right?) so leveling him wouldn't be a waste.

Elektra as-is pairs pretty well with IW now; chase yellow to make them invisible, chase black to give Elektra limited invulnerability that also damages the opponent, fire blue/green/red/purple as they become available to you, giggle at nuke damage becoming completely irrelevant for decent portions of the match while your chip damage escalates due to strike tiles.

It's also great because even though an AoE can hit IW through her invisibility, it can't get through Elektra's black traps.

I'm def on board with the new IW; her green bombs do like 8k damage. & I love her colors, she works well with the better 4 stars b/c her color distro is rare

Based on *sigh* last year's matchup between MF and Doom, I would say don't bother, but Doom is supposed to be nerfed more this time to make this fight fairer. For some context, today I beat this on my first try without boosts (5/3/5 276), but did eat Doom's purple twice, the first one did 7K damage, and the second one I don't remember. I survived both, though. I think I had 4K health left at the end.

I haven't run this duo together in PVP, though in my mind, it wouldn't be that effective against other mature 4* rosters. For PVE though? Not bad! And that's why I like Mr. F so much, because I spend most of my waking hours playing PVE. :|

no huge changes - a few more 3* chars got to 13 covers, i champ'd human torch, and i'm pretty sure i'm going to champ quicksilver and black panther next (including selling the 2* max'd chars i have the iso to do it easy). also pulled a 4* luke cage and a 4* nova, both of which i should be able to roster (gonna sell of ragnarok for one spot and try to grind the HP for the other). at this point more than half my 3* chars are champed so i guess now it's just the slow slog of finding new 4* covers until i have someone sufficiently covered to start using? i'm guessing that once all my 3*'s are champed i'll start hitting 4* cover rewards more frequently (esp w/ the 2* farm feeding them up).

so what are some solid teams? i know about loki/cmags/patch, and some combo of lazy thor/im40 is always good. love using scarlet witch + kamala khan together or separately both are fantastic. any other key combos at the 3* champ level?

Fist with Black Panther, 3* Cyclops, or any other hard-hitting black user.

Fist + Cage + CMags/Vision.

Scarlet Witch + GSBW + 2* Hawkeye

KK + IM40 + Lazy Cap is what I call Team Boring, because it's so tediously easy.

to piggyback off of Leee's first team, put in SWitch to generate purple to fuel IF and it's basically "lol @ node"

Oh, one I actually use often: Fist, Blade, Daken/Falcon. If your Doc Strange is leveled enough, you can sub him in for any of the above.

I need to stop spending command points for a while. The last 6 covers I pulled were all for characters where I had already maxed that particular color out.

hate that feeling. I write customer service every time and they blow me off but it's good practice for keeping up with government these days

I'm merc'ing out this new civil war event because if I can get all three red hulk covers I'll be able to champ him.

It is kind of hilarious reading the forums and realizing that most of the people who post there want every single character to be capable of running a 5-stage gauntlet of boosted goons solo rather than figuring out how to put together different character combos to maximize the given abilities of the characters we have. There's currently a thread going about "which 3* characters would you improve" and every suggestion is basically "turn this character into god-mode".

Conversely, the people who are trying different combos and posting them are my favorites; there was another thread where someone mentioned they were running Elektra andPatch on PvE nodes, which I tried, and it was LUDICROUSLY POWERFUL (collect purple and black, Berserker Fury, drop a black trap, use Elektra's purple to steal and buff enemy strike tiles, drop a red trap, match black and purple and watch the enemy team get decimated while you take no damage). His third, to add even more injury to injury, was 4Cyke.

btw Nova vs FalCap was laughably easy for me with a lvl 188 0/4/4 Nova (+2 all, +2 r/y, +2 b/g). I just threw out strike tiles and prioritized red until FalCap cast yellow, then prioritized matching shields. Ended with something like 4K health left and FalCap never got to cast his nuke.
