Out of drag, Trinity and Charlie have surprisingly similar faces.

I think this happens to all popular reality contests that have some staying power: a show may originally be based on a subculture and aim to represent it faithfully, but its own success eventually creates distinct ethos and mores that the viewers (and future contestants) absorb.

In the two episodes that she was on, I was puzzled by James Mansfield's under-done makeup.

seems like there might be some decent queens. the season has been weird so far, we're two episodes in and the queens haven't actually performed yet, one lip sync aside. some of them seem cool in the interviews but hard to say anyone has stood out so far.

I play RPDR 'fantasy' lol where we pick the winner, bottom two and loser. I was the big loser this week. =|

But yeah its almost impossible to guess how people will do in the very beginning. And last season it got kinda boring predicting Katya would win everything. I made the mistake of betting on pretty with Kimora being last week's winner. WOOPS.

How could anyone not predict Jaymes in the bottom two? (Presuming you didn't.)

The only point I got was Jaymes bottom two. EVERYONE picked her.

Anyone picking otherwise, that would have been strange.

Hey guys I'm travelling in China so I finally caught up with episode 2. Not easy with a VPN!

I thought the lipsynch was an embarassment to the B-52's and Ru should've just eliminated both queens. Especially with a returning queen and a non-elimination last week, this was the time to do it. Based solely on lipsynch though I think Kimora's generic sexy dance - to "Loveshack" of all songs - should've sent her home.

Speaking of returning queens, I was never a fan of the Cucu so meh... Justice for Serena Cha-Cha!

So far I'm loving Valentina's charm, Peppermint's spirit, Shea Coulée's sass, Sasha Velour's style and Nina Bonina's everything!

Charlie has been a bit underwhelming, but I'm not getting the bad vibe some of you have. I thought her Gaga look and her ice queen look were great. And I love that he was the first to tell Eureka to shut up.

Off to watch episode 3 now!!

I hope Aja's makeup improves over the next few eps, if she stays that long.I think maybe part of her dilemma is just not knowing how to do on-camera makeup? That seems to be a real uphill battle for some queens each season, it takes a few episodes for them to realize there's a huge difference between doing your makeup for stage and doing it for tv. But it's way greasy, whatever the case.

Meh, I thought the challenge was kind of brilliant.

Yeah I have to say I'm not sure why all the challenge hate. (I will also say that Peppermint is becoming a good all-arounder like I figured but Valentina kinda seems to be killing it more and more out of the gate.)

Bianca was up for AN Y THING and SHE WAS A PRO that is why she was never in the bottom

You dont get to "be like Bianca" just by being a seasoned queen.

Tammie Brown also refused to lipsynch on season 1, but it somehow made sense for her and made her even more memorable.
I was disappointed to see Charlie giving up like that, but I thought Peppermint should've been in the bottom instead of her. They both messed up the challenge but at least Charlie looked really good on the runway.

OK, I watched the advanced screener for tomorrow's episode and ... I'm calling preemptive bullshit on whatever the result of this episode is.

Wish I could be less vague, but my screener link doesn't include the elimination, so I don't *know* who gets booted, but it feels like a set-up is about to happen.

OK, it wasn't a setup, but this season just lost one of its strongest personalities. :-/

i haven't seen the most recent episode, but regarding the one where charlie got eliminated

when she was explaining her strategy of not caring about lip syncing by saying that bianca del rio made it to the finals without ever lip syncing, i wanted to be like "oh, girl...."

The way they set up that elimination was hokey but it tracks that she wouldnt be able to continue.
