i put alexis (this is the most basic pageant drag name right?) in a group with shannel and roxxy andrews of potato-y looking queens who are pretty much consistently mediocre and annoying as hell but somehow stick around waaaay after they should

clouds, Sunday, 30 April 2017 21:08 (six years ago) link

my top 3 is just queens i love and want to win, but realistically shea is def top 3 material, she's really good & came to play

being super nitpicky here but i don't like shea's makeup, she puts way too much white on the inner corners of her eyes & it always looks a little unfinished. except for her madonna & naomi looks this week her wigs havd beem kinda shitty quality

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 30 April 2017 21:16 (six years ago) link

shea and trixie are pals and both got their start in chicago so it makes sense for shea to borrow ideas from her

omg this is 100%.

My top 3:
Sasha
Valentina (suck it haters)
Shade Kool-Aid

More likely top 3:
Alexis
Trinity
Shea

Yeah, Farrah and Aja are the next two to go for sure. Beyond that, I could see them going in any order. No one is the runaway winner yet for me, but it's looking pretty evenly matched beyond that. Top 3 usually covers as many bases as possible, so the smart prediction would be:

Shea
Valentina
Sasha

I'm happy Peppermint gave everyone life; maybe it's the routine against the song selection that left me out of the loop.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 30 April 2017 22:14 (six years ago) link

Honestly I think I like Aja better *out* of drag. And I have no idea how Farrah has made it this far

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 30 April 2017 22:48 (six years ago) link

Had Eureka's knee held up, I'm absolutely convinced Farrah/Cynthia would've been a double elimination.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 30 April 2017 23:08 (six years ago) link

absolutely. that was even worse than laila mcq v. dax exclamation point

Which basically makes it the worst LSFYL of all time.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Monday, 1 May 2017 00:00 (six years ago) link

Jeez, I almost forgot about that one.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 1 May 2017 00:15 (six years ago) link

bc it was super forgettable

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 1 May 2017 00:22 (six years ago) link

What are the odds the worst LSFYL would have been followed by the greatest LSYFL. ;)

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Monday, 1 May 2017 00:29 (six years ago) link

odds are low bc nothing will top tatianna v alyssa in AS2 :3

clouds, Monday, 1 May 2017 00:47 (six years ago) link

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 1 May 2017 01:11 (six years ago) link

I was wondering if these new drag Queens naming themselves Trinity were influenced by The Matrix, and then I realized they're probably too young to remember it.

Bashir-Worf Hypothesis (Leee), Monday, 1 May 2017 06:02 (six years ago) link

Also Farrah is still here because fish.

Bashir-Worf Hypothesis (Leee), Monday, 1 May 2017 06:06 (six years ago) link

If Mrs. Kasha Davis and Dick Tremayne had a love child, it'd be Alexis Michelle.

Bashir-Worf Hypothesis (Leee), Tuesday, 2 May 2017 02:56 (six years ago) link

lol

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 2 May 2017 03:10 (six years ago) link

There's a vision.

Been catching up on Kim Chi and Naomi's M.U.G. series. It's fun!

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 2 May 2017 04:05 (six years ago) link

i love it, they have such good chemistry.

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 2 May 2017 04:11 (six years ago) link

And all without the need for boxed wine.

oh yes i watched that today "origami" lololol

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 5 May 2017 05:26 (six years ago) link

that challenge was pretty fun!!

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 6 May 2017 18:15 (six years ago) link

i think i need to revise my top 3

valentina
shea
sasha, but barely now - trinity is gonna kick her out if she dont work

shea killed it this week in both challenge & runway, i'm a believer

valentina's drunk donna was so fkn good, i love her

i cant keep hoping nina raises to her true level. ru saved her this week and i'm not mad but if that doesnt light a fire next week nothing will.

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 6 May 2017 19:22 (six years ago) link

What you all saw in last week's lip sync, I saw in this week's. Nina's facial expressions in those Thriller contacts were everything!

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Saturday, 6 May 2017 23:20 (six years ago) link

yeah nina killed that lipsync but sadly i think trinity will be top 3 too

clouds, Sunday, 7 May 2017 12:53 (six years ago) link

im glad we get another week of ru riffing on nina's name

J0rdan S., Sunday, 7 May 2017 15:48 (six years ago) link

nina bonina brown abdul-jabbar nearly killed me

J0rdan S., Sunday, 7 May 2017 15:49 (six years ago) link

watching the episode i genuinely thought they were unloading their best ones bcuz she was going home but i guess not

J0rdan S., Sunday, 7 May 2017 15:50 (six years ago) link

ru's reaction to farrah being born in 1993 was awesome

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 7 May 2017 15:59 (six years ago) link

now that cucu is gone the new drinking game/group suicide game can be take a shot every time farrah makes cryface

clouds, Sunday, 7 May 2017 16:18 (six years ago) link

i didn't think that lip sync was particularly awful or exceptional but i legit could not tell who was winning and actually thought aja had it

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Sunday, 7 May 2017 17:34 (six years ago) link

Nina's performance fit the song better, though they were both entertaining.

At least we got to see Aja's surprisingly neat penmanship!

Bashir-Worf Hypothesis (Leee), Sunday, 7 May 2017 19:33 (six years ago) link

that elimination decision didn't really make such sense to me, it might have been one where the producers wanted to keep nina around for the purposes of drama.

J0rdan S., Sunday, 7 May 2017 19:52 (six years ago) link

How many times has the winner of the first challenge not made it to the final 3?

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 7 May 2017 21:53 (six years ago) link

The moment the two of them leaned into the note twice killed me.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 7 May 2017 21:54 (six years ago) link

Sometimes I don't know what people want from lip syncs. Awkward bankheading and earring eating?

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 7 May 2017 21:55 (six years ago) link

Sorry, don't mean to fun police. It's kinda true for me that if I don't particularly like the song being lip sync'd to, odds are good I won't be moved by the performances themselves, and "Music" is among my very least favorite Madonna singles.

insidious assymetrical weapons (Eric H.), Sunday, 7 May 2017 21:59 (six years ago) link

for me i didn't think the lipsync from either of them was nearly energetic enough for the song.

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 7 May 2017 22:19 (six years ago) link

It was a pleasant lipsync there with "Finally," but it was almost like the song was carrying the performances rather than the other way around. But yeah, fun episode all around.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 8 May 2017 03:26 (six years ago) link

Also it's been interesting seeing Untucked 2.0 stretch out a bit beyond its own now-established beats -- the easy-going song as Aja left the stage area instead of the full-on sad melancholia, and now for the last couple of weeks seeing the departing queen remove their makeup before going to the work area. Small changes but even so.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 8 May 2017 03:31 (six years ago) link

has untucked 2.0 been going longer than 1.0? tbh i prefer the old one :(

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 8 May 2017 03:39 (six years ago) link

also i just realized if you go all the way back to s1 this is prob untucked 3.0 or 4.0
