i cant keep hoping nina raises to her true level. ru saved her this week and i'm not mad but if that doesnt light a fire next week nothing will.

What you all saw in last week's lip sync, I saw in this week's. Nina's facial expressions in those Thriller contacts were everything!

yeah nina killed that lipsync but sadly i think trinity will be top 3 too

watching the episode i genuinely thought they were unloading their best ones bcuz she was going home but i guess not

i didn't think that lip sync was particularly awful or exceptional but i legit could not tell who was winning and actually thought aja had it

Nina's performance fit the song better, though they were both entertaining.

At least we got to see Aja's surprisingly neat penmanship!

that elimination decision didn't really make such sense to me, it might have been one where the producers wanted to keep nina around for the purposes of drama.

Sorry, don't mean to fun police. It's kinda true for me that if I don't particularly like the song being lip sync'd to, odds are good I won't be moved by the performances themselves, and "Music" is among my very least favorite Madonna singles.

for me i didn't think the lipsync from either of them was nearly energetic enough for the song.

It was a pleasant lipsync there with "Finally," but it was almost like the song was carrying the performances rather than the other way around. But yeah, fun episode all around.

Also it's been interesting seeing Untucked 2.0 stretch out a bit beyond its own now-established beats -- the easy-going song as Aja left the stage area instead of the full-on sad melancholia, and now for the last couple of weeks seeing the departing queen remove their makeup before going to the work area. Small changes but even so.

has untucked 2.0 been going longer than 1.0? tbh i prefer the old one :(

also i just realized if you go all the way back to s1 this is prob untucked 3.0 or 4.0

2.0 or whatever we want to call it has been going since...season 7 I think?

i miss the manufactured drama of untucked, BUT i love the unselfconscious moments between queens that the new format allows

So, we'll all talk more tomorrow I'm sure but there were a couple of points tonight when I could not look at the screen, the bombing was THAT BAD.

ya that was some of the worst bombing i think the show has ever seen

anyway ugh finally Farrah is gone, spoilers actually got leaked to Reddit earlier this week and I wasn't even mad bcz it was like "oh, duh"

Honestly if the entire bottom three had disappeared through trap doors all at once I would have been all "Hey great!" (Trinity is the best of those three easy but 'wildly inconsistent' is an understatement.)

This is kinda where I'm at now, but with Peppermint (who I've always liked -- I kinda see her as the season narrator) winning and Sasha making a mark this week, I might call them a potential final four. But after Alexis finally goes soon (crossed fingers) then I'm almost happy with whatever results.

so who's going home next? I'd say at this point the next 3 will prob be Nina, Trinity, and Alexis

Untucked thoughts:

i knew farrah would eat it, that was expected. thought for a moment she might have won the lipsync but she plateaued

but i got a perverse enjoyment out of seeing alexis look so crazy & tank so hard. i thought she had potential early on & expected her to climb up but she is so insecure, her taste is v questionable & i want to set her dress barn wardrobe on fire

I'm glad to see Pep win, even though in truth I like Sasha's routine more. Also, I thought Valentina should've been top 3 instead of Shea. I doubted she had the shade to read so hard!

And you know, I've grown on Farrah! I'm going to miss her whining. If she could translate it into a tee-shirt catchphrase, she could go far in life.

OMG Trinity drinking in between Shea and Nina's argument, she still can't stop stealing the scene.

i can't tell if it was an edit designed to construct a story arch for the album (i suspect it was), but why at the beginning of this episode were all the queens talking about alexis as if she's a no doubt top 3 contender? she's like.... a decent queen? some good performances, some bad ones! she seems to have a very distorted image of her own talent

Trinity in some recent Untucked episode said she thought the two people most likely to reach the finish line (presumably alongside her) were Shea and Alexis.

Meanwhile, Katya on her Uhnnnn panel at Dragcon said that the ideal top three would be Shea, Valentina and Sasha. Seems that's what everyone more or less wants.

Alexis is the Shannel of the season, good but delusional.

I could see Trinity making the Top 3. She's the only one with two solo wins so far.
