I have a Crumar CPB-2 bass pedal synth that I'm trying to sell, but I can't find the power cable. The specs for the synth say 117V / 6W. I have a 125V cable; would that be too much voltage?

Well question number 1 is whether you live in a country with a 110V power system (USA, Japan, much of Europe) or another voltage e.g. 230V, 240V (e.g. UK, Australia).
But the likely answer is that you are in a 110V country, in which case your synth just needs to be connected to the wall socket, and expects a voltage around 117 (110 would be fine). If your cable says 125, that just means it's safe to use with voltages up to 125V. The voltage is determined by the wall socket, the cable merely connects it to the synth and has no effect on the voltage.
