i'm in2 Shea, Sasha, and either Peppermint or Trinity in the top 3. Alexis is terrible and I have to say I'm really fucking disappointed with Nina's shitty-ass attitude.

Anyone who bombs the Snatch Game is always going to be fighting an uphill battle with me, so even tho Pep has grown on me, I'm not ready to declare her top 3

i understand & am sympathetic to Nina but she is down *so* deep mentally that it's just translating as bad tv

i mean even Shea is giving up on her. at least Trinity K Bonet had a turning point before she went home

i still keep rooting for Nina tho. this seems like pretty much all she has & she's so good when she's performing

but apart from the elimination this episode was SO FUN

And, damn, Ru only hires blazingly (if boringly) hot PA's on this show.

Backtrack to last week -- this is kinda amazing: Bob the Drag Queen, Willam and Kim Chi at a club appearance watching Valentina crash and burn for the first time. Lots of chat first, skip ahead to 16:00 for the actual disaster reaction.

In order: Bob is all acting out his amazement, Willam is FULLL 'chew gum and act bored' mode and it's amazing (in fact I think he actually cheers Valentina saying she doesn't want to take the mask off! -- also, his platform flip-flops are next level) and Kim, of course, sits motionless but gapes and acts stunned. Couldn't be more them!

Meantime, nice Untucked but Nina was already obviously out of the competition the moment she slumped on the couch.

Can I add that based on both the main episode and the Untucked that Sarge is my new hero. (And that the sequence of her busting up Kesha with just a series of looks was A+)

I thought it was a slightly sad indictment of the competing queens that the crew were mostly more entertaining.

In other news: Netflix Ireland has finally properly bought Drag Race and now I can watch along with other people and not have to wait a year for a legal stream. Yay!

I think this would have been an even better episode without Nina, any other queen in her place. I rooted for her right up until the begginning of this ep when she said she couldnt even take something from the lipsync victory, i was like BITCH, ENOUGH *flips table*

But overall, it was such a great makeover ep, the vibe was so fun & everyone was sassing each other, I would have loved to see all the workroom footage

And yeah, all the dudes were so cute & lovely. Loved how Sasha & Duncan vibed well.

And to your point about entertaining queens in a block -- I kinda think that seasons 3-5/6 (depending on how I feel on the day) is the benchmark on that front, while at the same time enjoying aspects of where things have gone since (Untucked's shift from being a formal continuation of the show to being a much more casual affair, while it threw me at first back in season 7, now feels like a great twist all around, and one that they're still exploring). And of course there's always been great individual standouts.

There's a biiiiiiig difference. It's getting better but the bar is HIGH

As someone who enjoys very much the low-stakes world of the Bake Off, I do like how pally everyone is being this year. I get very tense when there's too much conflict in the workroom. But I just don't think they're as good, individually, as other years. I miss the craft aspects of the show, too.

But I do still love it. These complaints come from a place of love.

Her hair and face look great as usual, it's her padding that seems oddly off this season.

her hair this season is a lot smaller and much more wig-looking than matthu's work. and her hairlines have not been great if you go back and look. not compared to the airbrushed wizardry of matthu's hairlines for ru that made every 3 foot high wig look like it was naturally growing out of her scalp.

My boyfriend and I met Shea Coulée, Bianca Del Rio, Kim Chi, Shangela and Detox on the street in Montréal last night!!! They were all completely drunk but super sweet and having a good time. Shea even tried to speak french with us :-)

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT

They were coming out of a strip club where they went after their show. Shangela was singing and dancing around with Detox and Bianca was laughing and talking very loud. We got hugs and kisses from everyone. Kim is very tall and has soft lips.

Okay, you win.

Oh and Bianca and Detox were wearing Valentina t-shirts and Shangela had her own portable selfie light that she pulled out just before we took a picture with her!
