Jimmy McGovern's broken is excellent, of depressing, viewing.
Sean Bean is absolutely incredible in it, though. He inhabits the character so fully, it's really beautiful to watch. listening to his voice alone is amazing.
A friend who works in wardrobe on film and TV claims that Sean is the best person she's ever worked with. Kind, gentle, no ego at all. I love him.

my mum has met him a few times through her work (he was patron of a charity she was involved in) and she says the same about him.

i love that weird sweaty insecurity in boromir and spence in ronin. it's there with this weird tragic quality in game of thrones. i recognize these are not serious roles, but they're not nothing.

In comments reported by the Radio Times, Bean said: βI think he speaks a lot of sense. I donβt mean I want to go back to the 80s, the strikes and stuff like that, but heβs sticking up for the working-class man and itβs time we heard that voice again.β
