if he goes all the way around the bend and fires Sessions, Rosenstein and then Mueller and antagonizes thumbs his nose at Congress (esp the Senate), essentially daring them to impeach him - yeah I think they will turn on him. That's a lot of ifs, but things can (obviously) move quickly.

I don't think he's hot on fighting with Russia or Iran, but North Korea is the clear and obvious target now. All he has to do is work himself up into a bloodthirsty lather to justify the sacrifice of millions of Asian lives.

now that it's clear he's not going to get anything done domestically, his foreign policy options have to look increasingly attractive to his bloated ego. it's the one area where he can act unilaterally and with likely positive consequences for his approval ratings.

Trump has been telegraphing tearing up the Iran nuclear deal in September.. its not gonna start a war or anything but he clearly has made up his mind already. He lost his shit at Mattis, et al because they didn't even give him the option to tear it up a couple weeks ago. The fix is in.

Part of me wants to believe this, but these d-holes have an ounce of self-respect between them, so I don't really think humiliation is enough to trigger that outcome on its own.
