Total silence at each goal also throwing me

Sanchez looks good mind

Dutch managers, overrated or what?

Wewlay Bewlay (Tom D.), Saturday, 9 September 2017 15:24 (six years ago) link

This really might have been a seven or eight goal beating, and tbh we're not even really at it imo

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 15:32 (six years ago) link

Rooney's second absolute cert yellow tackle there.

Normally that would see you sent off, non?

Ye would want to take a good look at yourselves tbh lads

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 15:57 (six years ago) link

How did Sanchez fare in his first start for youse?

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 9 September 2017 16:09 (six years ago) link

He made a few big and well timed tackles and blocks, otherwise was good on the ball.

Not gonna lie to you, a game in which sissoko and Davies strike you as cl level options is not the game to judge anyone on

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 17:13 (six years ago) link

Good debut then, happy for the lad.

Lol Stoke giant killers

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 9 September 2017 17:15 (six years ago) link

Klopp a cunt on that

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 21:39 (six years ago) link

Shearer a total cunt but no surprise

Like mane hadn't a head to go for it with and not his studs at eye height.

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 21:42 (six years ago) link

What's the record for offside goals in a day

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 22:13 (six years ago) link

If Mane had flicked it over the goalies head and scored, would the ref have allowed Mane to score or award a free out

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Saturday, 9 September 2017 22:21 (six years ago) link

He should have awarded free out

But wouldn't have

And we wouldn't be talking about it

But having landed full blooded contact

Nobody should be saying anything, anything other than red and imo a decent ban

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 22:22 (six years ago) link

Nobody itt, but certainly for klopp to come out after and say he didn't think there was contact?

Fuck him

passé aggresif (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 September 2017 22:23 (six years ago) link

I think he was saying that at first he didnt see any contact tbf

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Sunday, 10 September 2017 12:52 (six years ago) link

No, in the clip on MotD he said after watching the video he didn't think there was contact. He acknowledged there had been contact with something, on basis of the cut, but he had no idea where it had come from.

Thomas Gabriel Fischer does not endorse (aldo), Sunday, 10 September 2017 15:04 (six years ago) link

felt a bit bad for Renato Sanches. gettin pelters from all sides for what was admittedly a pretty crappy debut, but hasn't he only played something like 3 competitive games in the last 15 months? also he is 20 years old, morons need to stop expecting him to be the second coming of Joahn Cruyff in his first game in England

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 10 September 2017 16:34 (six years ago) link

*first game in Wales, apologies to everyone that's unforgivable

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 10 September 2017 16:34 (six years ago) link

in the diving/simulating wanker 2017 stakes, watch out for Merino, he's very promising

Number None, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:38 (six years ago) link

the problem with Sanches is that today's game wasn't an anomaly at all. Even when he was getting hyped at the Euros, his performances were all over the shop. He seems severely lacking in most of the fundamentals tbh

Number None, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:42 (six years ago) link

don't agree with that, "most of the fundamentals" seems a huge reach. he's got a good turn of pace and is noticeably strong for his size, he's skilful, he strikes the ball very well. obviously it's a problem if he continues to spank aesthetically pleasing passes into touch / the feet of opposition attackers, but i'd be amazed to learn that any of the pundits and fans slating him today actually watched a single minute of his time at Benfica (obviously not much for them to have seen at Bayern). give him a few months.

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 10 September 2017 19:15 (six years ago) link

the flipside to that is that Swansea may not have a few months to give, what with Newcastle and Brighton picking up points, Huddersfield actually being a good team, West Ham and Palace imminently sacking their respective managers to ensure safe 14th / 15th place finishes etc.

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 10 September 2017 19:17 (six years ago) link

a child could kick a face in the street

We need Chris morris to be a ref

Sacking a permanent manager after fewer than ten games is usually a good sign

imago, Monday, 11 September 2017 11:01 (six years ago) link

Appointing Roy Hodgson usually a better one

See you next season Bananaman Begins

imago, Monday, 11 September 2017 11:01 (six years ago) link

there should be a minimum 12 month lock-in rule for managers, it wd be hilarious

Cheds Baker (Noodle Vague), Monday, 11 September 2017 11:24 (six years ago) link

Hodgson, lol.

It was a hilarious mismatch from the start, but why appoint him in the first place and ask him to implement a new style just to sack him after four matches?*

* I'm aware logic does not apply to football.

Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 11 September 2017 11:58 (six years ago) link

Yeah Hodgson isnt going to do much better for them. Bilic could be next in line

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Monday, 11 September 2017 12:03 (six years ago) link

This is fine

The Adventures Of Whiteman (Bananaman Begins), Monday, 11 September 2017 18:43 (six years ago) link

Oof. Huddersfield were really, really poor tonight. Unrecognizable really. No idea what Wagner's idea was - Hammers really aren't good at all - but all they did was walk and pass back and defend. A drubbing.

Le Bateau Ivre, Monday, 11 September 2017 20:52 (six years ago) link

Yeah 1st time watching Huddersfield and they were poor

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Monday, 11 September 2017 20:55 (six years ago) link

i actually think hodgson will do well (as in maybe avoid relegation) with that side.
