I bumped into a local Labour councillor today, who actually physically removed a dead rat from a ginnel with their own hands. And then made the fatal mistake of asking if I have any problems ;)

After the SPD national convention this weekend, it's either another Grand Coalition, or a minority government without Merkel or Schulz.

I'm not holding my breath.

The best thing to come out of this clusterfuck is that the two biggest political parties are now headed by women, with the party brahmins split 50/50, gender-wise. That would have been unthinkable fifteen years ago.
