I went to fine arts grad school with someone who was kind a crazy weirdo (though really everyone was sort of a weirdo on some level) but this person seemed to live a life of constant chaos and poor decisions and always made sort of half-assed and ill-concieved work that nobody ever really understood and she could never really explain and crits with her were always really awkward and embarrassing.

She's been posting pen and ink drawings every day this week and seems super pleased about them but she's just fucking AWFUL at drawing and is obviously aspiring for realism over abstraction which just makes it so much worse. So a literal artist thing that I hate and makes me feel like a jerk.

My latest irritation are people who like to post "helpful" shit. LIke I have one friend who endlessly, week after week, posts reminder posts about how people should keep their fucking 18 year olds in car seats. Or my aunt who is always posting shit like "remember to watch out for trick or treaters while driving!"
