yeah but this is a fine gameplan for them, liverpool not actually making many chance and the defence is always ready to hand a goal to the opposition.

plus a draw is a good result for man u.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 14 October 2017 11:56 (six years ago) link

Lukaku is a target man today. Him sending a cross in front of goal while he should be there heading it in.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 14 October 2017 11:57 (six years ago) link

Xp it is a fine gameplan, just really uninteresting to watch (says this ManU afficionado)

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 14 October 2017 11:57 (six years ago) link

Liverpool will get frustrated at some stage then mourinho will hit klopp from behind with a steel chair, game over

Gary Synaesthesia (darraghmac), Saturday, 14 October 2017 11:59 (six years ago) link

preposterous save: check
awful miss to follow: check

imago, Saturday, 14 October 2017 12:08 (six years ago) link

Liverpool have obviously been the better side but de Gea wonder save aside they've mostly been reduced to pot shots

this Utd team tends to get better as the game goes on

Number None, Saturday, 14 October 2017 12:23 (six years ago) link

That's true. Liverpool will get tired if they keep this up, and not seen any sign of improvement in their defense tbh, so shoddy.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 14 October 2017 12:27 (six years ago) link

united, one of the most expensively assembled teams of all time, the richest club in the world, are incredibly redolent of martin o'neill's ireland.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 14 October 2017 13:21 (six years ago) link

Their worst performance of the season tbf, some really sloppy play all over but especially darmian and young

plp will eat itself (NickB), Saturday, 14 October 2017 13:25 (six years ago) link

wah wah

I'm not going to pretend I'm ecstatic about that but Liverpool did fuck all

Number None, Saturday, 14 October 2017 13:26 (six years ago) link

had enough chances to win it.

every single other team that have held liverpool this season created more chances than that today - imagine not even bothering to try and test that defence.

FC Can't vs FC Won't

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 14 October 2017 13:46 (six years ago) link

Utd have always been pragmatic at Anfield but I doubt Mourinho accounted for so many of his players losing their heads in possession

There were a few mitigating factors - Pogba missing and Herrera (who's barely played) coming in and being terrible, plus the decision to play Young as a winger and bringing in Darmian

Anyway, Liverpool tested the keeper once and Utd tested the keeper once. Seems like an increasing amount of teams aren't finding it too difficult to nullify Klopp

GOAL TO CRYSTAL PALACE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. STAY IN YOUR HOMES. ALL BROADCAST CHANNELS HAVE BEEN COMMANDEERED FOR TRANSMISSION OF CIVIL DEFENCE INSTRUCTIONS. CRYSTAL PALACE HAVE SCORED A GOAL. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. STAY IN YOUR HOMES. ALL BROADCAST

imago, Saturday, 14 October 2017 15:03 (six years ago) link

Fucked up that the team is torturing its younger less experienced fans with the possibility of winning tbh

IF (Terrorist) Yes, Explain (Bananaman Begins), Saturday, 14 October 2017 15:37 (six years ago) link

Really sympathising with Stoke right now

LOL Watford leapfrog Arsenal AND Chelsea.

Tom's Tits Experiment (Tom D.), Saturday, 14 October 2017 18:42 (six years ago) link

it sounds like Wenger has supping from a vintage that has gone a bit sour tonight.

Jesus, I hadn't realised how gunned up his assistant Appleton is these days. He looks part The Rock, part Serbian oligarch's henchman or something. Might give some of the Leicester players Pearson flashbacks.

bilic is surely done for here

on the evidence we've seen so far, Lindelof looks like a catastrophic signing

he literally cannot head a ball

gonna go with 'this is fun' tbh

imago, Saturday, 21 October 2017 14:54 (six years ago) link

My stepdad was waxing lyrical about the last time he saw us defeat Man U in the 50's this morn: blah blah Jimmy Glazzard, what a player he was etc.. but also he said the Man Utd fans trashed the place after the game, and that they were most definitely Mancunians.

calzino, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:05 (six years ago) link

I thought they trashed the town in the early 70s?

We're nothing without Fellaini.

mothfrogs and homicidal smoking haikuists (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:33 (six years ago) link

they probably trashed it then as then as well, but that was after they won. In the 50's it was after a defeat!

calzino, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:40 (six years ago) link

as it stands 18 mins of e/t pending, no doubt.

calzino, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:45 (six years ago) link

GTF in Town!

calzino, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:53 (six years ago) link

something like 80% possession in the second half

two shots on target

not good!

Number None, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:54 (six years ago) link

I sincerely hope those grapes aren't tasting too sour tonight, pal!

calzino, Saturday, 21 October 2017 15:56 (six years ago) link
