Yeah the Chip tunes make me swoon. They're also the ones where the band's version of country music has the most in common with the Meat Puppets'. Were the Kirkwoods fans of the Kinmans?

There was a Hinman career overview in the last Ugly THings.

I thought the Meat Puppets were way too maverick to consciously sound much like another band. Could it be the other way round?

& I thought i had a cd of Rank & File material that I'd picked up late 90s. Not sure if it still plays.

The touring version of Rank and File with Junior Brown on guitar was pure fire. I wonder if they were ever recorded.
