Josh Jackson vs Fox was fun for a minute there

Spottie, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 03:58 (six years ago) link

Whenever really old guys (zbo) switch teams I’m tempted to believe they’re washed

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 03:59 (six years ago) link

i think managerial/roster/contract factors have more to do w/it than the player's actual talent level at that time

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:04 (six years ago) link

Zbo been pretty washed for a bit now

Spottie, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:06 (six years ago) link

Is this bogdonovic Bro supposed to be good?

Spottie, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:07 (six years ago) link

guys "washed" isn't a useful description, like what do you expect from a 36 y.o. forward? his shooting dropped off a little bit last year but he still has value in a limited role

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:09 (six years ago) link

Bogdan looks good to me yeah

Well remember when Chris Webber was playing pretty well for the kings and then he got traded to the sixers and was just awful? There’s a thing there

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:10 (six years ago) link

chris webber's first full year as a sixer was fine and in line with his previous two years (one of which contained a major injury (unlike z-bo)), so that's some impressive foresight or something

Unusual scenes at the end of this suns game

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:14 (six years ago) link

Garret temple can’t miss

He went to the sixers mid season and was awful come on dude

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:17 (six years ago) link

Because he’s better than all of their big men

yeah but they're gonna be the worst team in the conference regardless plus bender/chriss need to play, and josh jackson should prob be getting minutes at the 4 too

i'm more of a mudiay fan than most & i think they could do worse than getting him but faried would basically just be in there for salary matching and would impede the development of multiple lottery picks

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:27 (six years ago) link

fox looks good but you'll pardon me if i hold my expectations for rookie guards after three games

― call all destroyer, Monday, October 23, 2017 11:52 PM (yesterday) Bookmark

his athleticism is off the charts for a PG imo, if he's already capable of scoring like this he could be borderline unstoppable once he gets more experience

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:29 (six years ago) link

I’ve pretty much written off bender and Chriss tbh

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:32 (six years ago) link

also fox is averaging 5 boards per game and has 4 steals in 4 games. hard not to be really excited about him.

chriss was way overdrafted... i was a bender fan. regardless the suns would gain nothing from obtaining and playing kenneth faried is all i'm saying... i don't think they'd even be able to flip him for much

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:33 (six years ago) link

also kinda think phoenix and mudiay would be a terrible fit... he would not get better as a player there

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:37 (six years ago) link

how about bledsoe and an unprotected first for markelle fultz and salary filler

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:38 (six years ago) link

suns have two extra firsts from miami in the dragic trade...

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 04:39 (six years ago) link

the suns in a classic psyched abt coach getting fired game give up only 115 points

it wld be very funny if the sixers traded fultz 4 games into his rookie season after drafting him #1

fultz is a lost cause lol

Look at this nonsense

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 05:06 (six years ago) link

The thing about Fultz is can you name a guy who started off his career this bizarrely bad and turned out to be better than ok?

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 05:09 (six years ago) link

coach should be fined for flopping

weren't all you guys really high on fultz before the draft btw lol, you guys watch college right was his jumper not weird then?

k3vin k., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 13:10 (six years ago) link

it was maybe slightly mechanical by modern standards but it wasnt like this!

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 24 October 2017 14:00 (six years ago) link

isn't shooting the thing that least reliably translates to nba

ciderpress, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 14:05 (six years ago) link

That is definitely an injured guy trying to shoot without tweaking his shoulder, I cannot come up with any other teams explanation

He's either thinking through this weird form he invented or trying not to hurt himself or both, which is why he can't even get the shot away before he's coming down. So weird

I'm not gonna pretend to know more than Carlisle but this seems dumb:

Just matchups,” Rick Carlisle said about Noel’s minutes after the game. “You can’t put him out there on Draymond Green. It’s just one of those nights. Houston played these guys opening night and they just told Nene before the game, it’s not a good night for you and he didn’t play at all. He could play tonight with Zaza Pachulia out there and JaVale McGee. David West is a bad matchup because of all the picking and popping. That’s the reason, pretty simple.”

seems like hed be better off sitting until that heals

lag∞n, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 18:14 (six years ago) link

yeah the messaging coming out of philly is strange....he's injured enough that he can't shoot but not injured enough to sit and heal? this isn't the nhl, he doesn't need to play through it for no reason.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 18:17 (six years ago) link

philly may have an issue with its medical/training staff just an observation

lag∞n, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 18:18 (six years ago) link

all their young players seem to be constantly injured which is weird

lag∞n, Tuesday, 24 October 2017 18:19 (six years ago) link
