you know ive just been meditating on how great al horford has been so far he looks really spry and active and maybe a lil lighter, i hope they can keep his minutes low so he stays in top form all year :)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:01 (six years ago) link

tho he was also great in the playoffs so i think some of it is just comfort level with playing in the celtics system

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:01 (six years ago) link

its really too bad gordon hayward isnt here to see what the celtics are building rip

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:02 (six years ago) link

theyll be that much better next year when he's back and those two young wings are in full swing with tons of experience under their belt.

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:07 (six years ago) link

yeah still a possibility he cld return this year too tho obvs its doubtful hed be at full strength

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:09 (six years ago) link

they cld really use him particularly for star staggering purposes some of these bench units theyre rolling out are pretty brutal

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:10 (six years ago) link

let the man heal. let bron beat up on you one more year in the offs then come back stronger when he's gone off to the lakers next year.

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:10 (six years ago) link

bron must be vanquished, this year

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:11 (six years ago) link

for a few games there when smart and morris were out literally half their available players were rookies

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:14 (six years ago) link

xp quite possible the way the cavs are playing. but we all got bamboozled by their reg season effort last year too

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:15 (six years ago) link

irving loss seems pretty major so far

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:18 (six years ago) link

ya if isaiah comes back and does like 80% of what he did last year theyre prob good, otherwise theyre vulnerable

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:18 (six years ago) link

tho other guys randomly turning up cooked and/or injured cld sabotage them too

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:19 (six years ago) link

i mean bron on his epic finals run has always had really good players around him, that might not be true anymore

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:20 (six years ago) link

lol bron getting knocked out in the second round the then leaving cleveland cld really usher in a second renaissance of hatred

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:22 (six years ago) link

but everyone said they were even deeper this year

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:24 (six years ago) link

they did gain some depth but lost star power + some of their depth is prob actually cooked lol

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:25 (six years ago) link

jae crowder is a really good player but hes not third best player on a finals team good

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:25 (six years ago) link

I still think bron is going to end up on the heat again somehow

ciderpress, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:26 (six years ago) link

i cant really figure out where it makes sense for him to go (from a championship contention standpoint, if he just wants to hang out in miami fine, tho obvs his move will prob be part of some larger orchestration thats hard to figure)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:28 (six years ago) link

I don't get the LA stuff at all, their guys won't be ready for a bron team next year

ciderpress, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:30 (six years ago) link

i don't get why their whole bench is old guys except for like zizec and "cedi osman"

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:31 (six years ago) link

probably not worth investing too much stock in what happens with the cavs until at least the second half of the season

marcos, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:31 (six years ago) link

lakers are bad kinda think theyre fucked long term too many bad drafts/moves

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:32 (six years ago) link

yea people keep repeating LA LA LA LA bron's going to LA and i don't see really much evidence at all of that happening except "he owns a house in LA" ok sure

marcos, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:32 (six years ago) link

idk I think they'd be fine if they're patient but they won't be

ciderpress, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:33 (six years ago) link

Calderon 36
Korver 36
Wade 35
Frye 34
Rose 68 year-old knees
Bron 32
JR 32
Jeff Green 31 (and lol Jeff Green)

Tristan seems to have regressed since the championship
Shump's knee is hurt again

marcos otm tho

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:34 (six years ago) link

cavs are definitely the oldest team in the league lol,

i don't foresee wade working hard at all until the playoffs

when IT comes back i think they will feel like a totally different team, he is eager

marcos, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:36 (six years ago) link

its not even really whats happening with the cavs its who they have on their team tho obvs whats happening isnt good, also their coaching/system situation has been on slow decline for a while, having lue take over for blatt that champ year was prob perfect timing of a players coach coming into a sound situation

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:36 (six years ago) link

like their age the insane collection of horrible defensive guards, losing their second best player

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:37 (six years ago) link

also a wildcard is bron having one foot out the door come offs

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:38 (six years ago) link

hes only going to LA if PG is joining him, and someone else too, maybe boogie? idk seems crazy but bron can orchestrate whatever he wants

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:39 (six years ago) link

xp to where though? there are no clear places really. cleveland will continue to try to honor whatever request he makes. i could be a deluded homer (i usually am) but there aren't any more obvious places he would go, unless he orchestrates (as you said) some bigger stuff with other free agents. who else is a free agent next year that would join up w/ him?

marcos, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:40 (six years ago) link

bron pg boogie ball and a bunch of d league guys and over the hill ring chasers is honestly something i wld be interested in seeing

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:42 (six years ago) link

i think he's gonna have to take a pay cut if he wants to really orchestrate something out of Clevelan

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:43 (six years ago) link

if bron takes a paycut he can prob get the other stars to too, that pg-boogie lakers scenario actually seems pretty realistic, lakers just have to clear the deng and clarkson contracts + either trade randle or let him walk, someone wld take clarkson off their hands for nothing then u have to package ingram with deng and their books are pretty much clear

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:51 (six years ago) link

then even under that scenario they still have three super cheap young guys who can contribute in nance kuzma and zubac, always important to have fresh legs on those superstar teams, too many old guys is problem http://hoopshype.com/salaries/los_angeles_lakers/

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:53 (six years ago) link

clarkson is easy to move. young, pretty good and on a fair contract

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:56 (six years ago) link

deng tho...

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:56 (six years ago) link

ball
george
bron
nance
boogie

kuzma
zubac
ring chasers
randos

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:57 (six years ago) link

yeah theyd def have to throw in one of ingram/kuzma/nance to move deng, prob ingram since he makes the most and prob has the most value

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 20:58 (six years ago) link

wld still prob lose to the warriors but itd be an interesting matchup stylewise, thatd be a huge bruising insane rebounding lakers team

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:00 (six years ago) link

+they cld reshoot the now this is gonna be fun SI cover

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:01 (six years ago) link

would be a great start

Spottie, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:06 (six years ago) link

not convinced that team would be good enough

ciderpress, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:34 (six years ago) link

true, i guess he could just retire

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:53 (six years ago) link

i dont know that there's any team in the west lebron could join that would give better odds of a championship than an arbitrary east team

ciderpress, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 21:57 (six years ago) link

the warriors

lag∞n, Tuesday, 31 October 2017 23:43 (six years ago) link

sure, but bron could join the warriors only if they could figure out a contract he'd accept that they could afford.

A is for (Aimless), Tuesday, 31 October 2017 23:51 (six years ago) link

he's made enough money it's time to sacrifice for the good of the team

he'll make a great backup
