he seems more healthy this year. he seems fine. what'd he do?

from what i've seen he thinks he's russell westbrook and plays accordingly

good article on the wolves' weaknesses and some of the poor D stuff discussed upthread, c&ped from The Athletic to this thread because I didn't want to hogg it up...by Britt Robson the best wolves writer ever (this was after the back to back losses couple games ago so a little outdated but the larger concerns are still relevant

I think this picture of Cory Brewer effortlessly sums up the complete history of the Minnesota Timberwolves as a franchise

With successive pratfalls against theoretically inferior Eastern Conference opponents on Tuesday and Wednesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves did their level best to remind their fan base that rooting for this franchise requires that one become either a patsy or a cynic — either a person “who is easily manipulated or victimized,” or a person “who questions whether something will happen, or whether it is worthwhile.”

Or, put more bluntly, do you want to be a dupe or a jerk?

If that sounds harsh, consider that while there are countless ways to chronicle the historical ineptitude of the Wolves 28-year existence heading into this season, it is still difficult to capture the essence of how wretched the fan experience has been for those who follow the team. But for the purpose of our current context, let’s give it one more shot.

Spottie, Wednesday, 1 November 2017 18:13 (six years ago) link

there isn't a lot of content and they're only focused on a few markets. i like a bunch of the writers though.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Wednesday, 1 November 2017 18:37 (six years ago) link

I would say that you should make your Athletic decision based on your local writers they got, I'm digging it based on that

that said....I got a year for $40 with a promo code and I'm finding some good national content too

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 1 November 2017 20:56 (six years ago) link

yeah i passed when they had that deal going and shoulda done it then. think I'll wait for something like that to come around again.

Spottie, Wednesday, 1 November 2017 21:15 (six years ago) link

In that photo Dwyane looks like Lebron just aired one out.

watching this game between the titans of basketball, the magic and the grizzlies

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:32 (six years ago) link

this game is extremely messy

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:39 (six years ago) link

the magic's offense doesn't make any sense to me but it's working

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:49 (six years ago) link

The Suns are HOT

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:49 (six years ago) link

why

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:52 (six years ago) link

Bledsoe trade value drops every day that goes by. Especially when they’re playing well like this

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:56 (six years ago) link

grizz just got an uncontested fast break dunk off of an orlando make lol

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 01:56 (six years ago) link

that box score is a nightmare

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:15 (six years ago) link

magic burned an unnecessary timeout and came out of it with a play of 'do nothing for 10 seconds and then shoot a contested 3'

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:15 (six years ago) link

LMAO

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:18 (six years ago) link

that was the most beautiful sequence i've seen in the final minute of a 1 possession game in a long time

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:20 (six years ago) link

the kings suck

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:33 (six years ago) link

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:34 (six years ago) link

the celtics showed no sign of exerting themselves all game and were still up by 30

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:35 (six years ago) link

cavs shd trade lebron #TradeLebron

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:36 (six years ago) link

might be time to move on from Kevin Love idk

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:37 (six years ago) link

#celticsthought i really like daniel theis. active, good energy, basically knows what to do. good team guy. there have to be some other gems in the high euro leagues who can play like this.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:40 (six years ago) link

kevin love appears to be a shell of a good player, idk what happened to that guy

call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:41 (six years ago) link

seems to be a classic case of good player on a crap team putting up good #s?

he helped Cle get a ring tho so it's obv not all bad

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 02:53 (six years ago) link

i just watched 4 quarters of the utah jazz and i still don't fully get at all how they score

Clay, Thursday, 2 November 2017 03:29 (six years ago) link

pick and rolls

ciderpress, Thursday, 2 November 2017 03:58 (six years ago) link

i think they are awarded points with every defensive stop

Spottie, Thursday, 2 November 2017 04:01 (six years ago) link

it is perhaps through the i believe scientific process of osmosis

Clay, Thursday, 2 November 2017 04:07 (six years ago) link

ah one of the most scientific of processes

lag∞n, Thursday, 2 November 2017 04:12 (six years ago) link

When I watch Kings games the guy who stands out as a culprit to me is Cauley-Stein. He plays bad defense and offers nothing on offense.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 2 November 2017 06:59 (six years ago) link

Papagiannis has to be better even at age 19 or whatever he is

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 2 November 2017 07:00 (six years ago) link

This Mike James guy is pretty cool

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 2 November 2017 07:19 (six years ago) link

“Embiid logs career-high 30 minutes”

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 2 November 2017 08:53 (six years ago) link

as a wolves fan, it's weirdly encouraging to see them win a game in which a lot of the starters objectively played like shit esp. KAT, but yet we won

there were so many times in the past in which you end up walking away thinking damn we should have won that game but didn't

part of it is just having the weird sensation of having some real grown ass men NBA players like Butler and Crawford on the team, instead of steaky, ultra gifted but inconsistent vessels of "talent" and "potential"
