every college coach whos ever come to the pros has crashed and burned but he finds one who is immediately one of the best coaches in the nba

i still think the celtics media overrepresented the value of Avery Bradley and especially Jae Crowder and the rest of the league bought it. the team hasn't missed a beat defensively without them and their advanced stats were never even that good.

imo theyre both good and theyre just the type of guys who can fit in anywhere and dont have too many flaws, but there prob was some hysteria too around crowder at least tho a lot of that is that hes on a cheap deal, bradley they kinda just had to dump to get his contract off the books, not to say morris is useless or anything

their defense is much better this year! tho a lot of that is rebounding (and losing IT)

Kyrie looks like he is trying sometimes, that's cool

hes been trying very hard! hes totally out there hustling acting like hes got something to prove

maybe he should work that hard on his earth science studies

there were so many times in the past in which you end up walking away thinking damn we should have won that game but didn't

I’m kinda sympathetic to the harabob idea that Ricky‘s game is particularly badly suited to the way NBA games tighten up into halfcourt chess matches at the end of close games - his strengths of “creativity” and “trying on defence“ get lost, and you’re just left with a guy that can’t shoot. It’ll be interesting to see if that happens in Utah? Anyway winning close games against good teams is extremely nice I like it I hope it continues.

yeah guys who can put pressure on the defense and score the damn basketball are still the most valuable even in this age of efficiency

hurts so much bc i know it's true

there's definitely gonna be some dumb rash move too like firing ty lue or something

again tho IT returning could change things tho not much on defense

they have a not good mix of players , some young talent but i don't see how they could possibly compete . they probably couldn't even make the playoffs in the east,right ? xxxp

- 76ers are fun with simmons/embiid and my fav defensive shark Covington
- Bucks for Giannis, but they're halfcourt offense leaves a lot to be desired

Surprises so far:

- Indiana who are playing fast pace and fun ball without their best(?) player Myles Turner
- Magic and Pistons both playing well but probably smoke n mirrors

yes simmons is something special from what i've seen,i figure it's a good thing to have a 76s team that is appealing to watch. I can maybe catch them at MSG or Barclays

he could average a trip dub as early as season three

is monta ellis playing in europe or mongolia or something i miss that guy

simmons is super fun hes always attacking very smoothly def one of those players who just catches your eye, tho he has an insanely bad jumper that looks like hes going to shoot it with his right hand until shortly before the release when he shoots with his left, we are rich in charismatic rookie basketball geniuses with psychotically broken jumpers this year

*obvs its a lot easier to deal with having no jumper if youre a 7foot pf/c than it is if youre a 6-6 pg

I've never liked watching monta. frustrating player

he had that one year where he shot over 50% and i was SOLD. dude couldn't miss from the elbows and it opened up his whole game. he was really electrifying. then.... the moped.

he had some nice stretches after that i thought. but he can't hit the three ball and doesn't defend.

would love to see him in the Ice Cube 3x3 league if that's still a thing

Domantas Sabonis is shooting 62% from the field with a per 36 of 17-15-4

yeah he did xp but the trust was gone and then curry came along. him in the Big 3 seems like a perfect fit ha.
