I dunno if I should try to draw a 5thor with the 25 cp tokens or keep saving them to get 250 to get my last phoenix cover when she comes up. I have ~180cp right now.

DD is the only other 5 star I don't have.

running champed/boosted G4mora + C4ge + Mordo is nice though. I only recently champed my C4ge so this is my first time running him boosted. yeah no one does any damage against me!

I am 2 covers away from max covering Thano5 but I'm spending all my CP on pulls because I need so many covers for most of my other 5*s/4*s

Speaking of which, I max covered a bunch of 4*s; my champing queue (still driven by whichever cover comes up first) now is:

i've champed a bunch of 4 stars lately. my roster is now c4rol, coulson, riri, mordo, bl4de, c&d, hobo fist, medusa, AV, r&g, g4mora, gwenpool, sandman, mockingbird, yondu, luke c4ge, th4r, iceman, and vulture. i'm champing peggy in 2 days.

I’m champing 4rocket now, at 220ish now, have two covers that’ll expire in 3-4 days so it’s gonna be tight

Hes already very strong w G4mora in shield

After him I need to do some 2 star work and maybe 3 star too unless I get a 4 star cover that I already have 13 for, eg Nova, Kate Bishop, or Colson whose last cover I can buy tomorrow in the heroes store

I love Coulson + C4rol

I know I could just write "I love <insert random 4* here that uses countdowns> and C4rol" but that particular combo is often lethal.

Carol & Cho were hilarious last week. I learned from the AI how lethal popping his blue countdown tile repeatedly is

My favorite is AI C4rol and Medusa when the AI starts popping Medusa’s countdown before getting any special tiles on the board; it’s like it’s trying to help me save health packs.

sold three champmaxed two stars to get the iso to champ 4rocket, now I gotta relevel those two stars to keep up the farm. it'll take a week but it's worth it. I guess 3-5-5 is the best 4rocket build? it's those sweeeeet strike tiles that matter I think. even using him at 220 yesterday I was taking out the deadpool daily node in two moves.

I bought the coulson cover too so now he's fully covered. so after these 2 stars either I'll level 3star lord or coulson or nova or kate bishop. (also have had agent venom at 13 covers for a loooong time but he's annoying)(& lol devil dino)

you'll never use his blue so make that 3 and the other two 5

Well, I just pulled what would make my coulson 3/6/4, so I guess I'm saving CP/ISO again to make him my next champ, heh

I drew my 13th spider gwen cover the other day, so now she's too on my long list of 13covered 4 stars to champ (after coulson, after nova, etc.)

I was starting to hoard and went "you know what, I want Gambit and Spidey" and spent 50 of the 57 CP I'd built up just to see what happened

I saved 140 CP before giving up and splurging. I got two 5* Thanos, a Silver Surfer and a bunch of 4*s I didn't need. that was great -- thanos was what i was saving up for. i think i learned the wrong lesson from this.

ppl on the D3Go forums are complaining that 5* Gambit is overpowered because they had to use health packs after figuring out how to beat him

there are plenty of reasonable arguments for Gambit being OP but that is not one of them

My 5pidey/Gwen/Gambattery team upthread is undeniably fun

I got my 16 wins super quick with medusa+gamora+grocket, very very fast, like 2 minutes per match. now I have like 2+ days left in the event. dunno if I will push higher but it was fun while it lasted!

medusa+gamora+grocket is the THE team du jour, in shield sim last season it was 95% of my offered matches (I skipped EVERY one, it is deadly).

oh yes it sucks for sure; I would often be able to beat it but my team was so badly torn up that I needed health packs for everyone

the best counter I had was "bring your own Medusa, match as many strikes as you can to mitigate the pain until you hit 10 purple, hope Hair Meddle steals the rest"

do you have to run Hair Meddle at 5 then? for the saving grace of Medusa is her heal

yeah, I keep her at 5/3/5 because I have C4rol in the mix so often that the initial starting point for the attack tiles from Entanglement doesn't matter

c4rol is suddenly not someone I fear taking on, with the medusa + gamora + grocket team I leave her until last. I'm more scared of Coulson now. the main thing against C4rol is to avoid granting her free ap by matching your best color, so it helps that with my medusa + gamora + grocket the best color is yellow, which isn't an active color for any of them

lol my 5pidey/Gwen/Gambattery team just got me two defensive wins; I also clicked on a node to see who was up next and... it was 5pidey/Gwen/3* Gambattery

I might try them to see if my 5*'s match damage makes/breaks the match

how good is your 5pidey? mine is 1-1-3 and I'm not sure that's good enough to rock with Gwen yet (who I have fully covered but not champed yet)

okay, their Gwen was champed so she was stunning 2 characters at a time, which was terrifying; I almost lost 5pidey but due to everyone but Gambattery being stunned for several turns I had enough purple to stunlock the opposing team and Cherry Bomb their Gwen to death in one turn; I then matched tiles to trigger my Gwen's heal and then used purple and yellow to fill practically the entire board with web tiles, at which point it was pretty much game over

My 5pidey is 3/1/4; I was leveling him to 375 to match my other top 5s (Thano5, SS, PHX) but held off to restart my 2* farm. I might dump all of my ISO into Gwen instead and champ her just to respec to 5 purple (she is currently 168 4/4/5)

as long as Gambit remains the way he is, Gwen seems essential.

I am seriously considering creating a dupe if I pull a red or purple cover for him because his strength as a PVE battery (or a PVP climb engine) is too high, plus as noted he makes Gwen completely broken (I was prioritizing 5pidey's red over Gwen's until I realized that, at least in BoP, 2 Cherry Bombs + match dmg kills most of the characters I'm fighting).

prof x, riri, ragnarok is fun. rag's red makes blue, riri's blue makes red....

I've seen that combo around but couldn't get it to work for me. I think my problem was a combo of bad board and premature firing of abilities.

anyone have any strong opinions about the change to xp now that it's been there a while? i remember kinda hating it when i read it because i had already recruited every 4* for example but i have noticed it has really attached a rocket pack to my levelling up. i think i got about 2000xp in the past... less than a week? Def helped me get my Agent Coulson champed way ahead of schedule!

much more xp from covers, but no xp gained from some other actions. Donating team-ups for xp was boring and I'm glad that's gone.

XP from getting the initial 13 covers on a 3*/4* character went from 5/10 to 40/80 meaning newer players will get a bigger benefit now, but I don't think it makes a big difference.

lol I have 28 wins now in balance of power, should I go for 40? each win takes me like 1-2 minutes tops. the riri cover is only a champ cover but I dunno, it's fun beating these ridiculous teams so quickly

Do it! I have been weirdly invested in BoP; it's completely meaningless but also super fun.

and eventually Nova who is great but I keep putting off champing him for other more urgent needs

Champing Nova right before his boost week = personal win

Champing him when I have a 5* Gambattery at 0/0/3 = lol into the air you go, all the time

Throw a boosted Prof X in there and it's just silly; the board fills with special tiles and then I make Prof invisible so he can start buffing them and the whole thing becomes super murdery very quickly

I have been laughing silly at the people proudly sticking C4rol/Medusa on defense

Euler: Phoenix is my only championed 5*. Getting a 5* leveled over around 350 does make PVP a nightmare, but PVE is still easy enough. If you don't have 5 purple covers on Phoenix yet, it might be worth it to champion her and respec.

I just championed 4* Gamora and then got my 13th Rocket & Groot cover. I hear they work well together.

I have her at 5-4-4, I gather 3-5-5 is best so that's an incentive to champ. I don't want to make PVP a nightmare.

I know Vulture has been a big deal for a while now but I just got him to 2/5/1 (still lvl 70) right before this current PVP and holy shit

Even under covered and at that level, he is destroying enemy teams for me. I’m running him with 4* Elektra (5/5/4 lvl 275) and OML (4/3/0 lvl 360) and am basically brutalizing every team I meet without even using OML’s black. In particular, Grocket/Gamora is a joke because I can tank with OML until Vulture either wipes out all of Grocket’s free strikes or Elektra gets enough purple to steal a few and make them super nightmarish; meanwhile Vulture is all “I got 6 black, see yeah never coming back down” so his low level/health don’t matter.

I can see this not working against AOE teams but I haven’t faced any yet.
