right, perhaps i thought the mix of intriguing youth and steadying veterans would lead to a respectable but not great team. in actuality each of these players individually kind of sucks.

Yeah I hated all of their moves, they needed like two vets to shore up the young guys while they look for a couple of career prime guys and instead they bought like almost a whole 35-win team worth of virtually washed up dudes and slathered it on top of some iffy young talent

Felt very Vivek-y and I could totally believe he went after melo to "contend now"

randle and ingram have been the best lakers tonight

C's look tired leaving all those shots short

I'm not sure Marcus smart gets tired though

Lakers collected some funny randos this year, Corey brewer

ingram is fun to watch

brimstead, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:22 (six years ago) link

survival mode for the celtics without horford and tatum. i want to find aron baynes and buy him a beer. he played huge on both ends.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:24 (six years ago) link

lonzo 4-15, i get how he got to that many attempts but minutes go by where he doesn't really do anything.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:26 (six years ago) link

the good team "boston celtics" has won 10 games in a row

ciderpress, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:27 (six years ago) link

lonzo continues his mastery of the triple-single

ciderpress, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:28 (six years ago) link

per doris kyrie's dad wouldn't do an interview b/c he wants to stay in the background--respect to that guy.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:29 (six years ago) link

btw can experienced cavs watchers help me with something--did kyrie play much 2-man game with a big guy in cleveland? he seems born to do it. he was wrecking shit playing with horford and tonight he basically went to baynes and was like "you're the guy" and baynes got a career high.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:33 (six years ago) link

kyrie never really had a reliable big guy to do that with in the cleve, no? love is a shitty screen guy and prefers to pop rather than roll which isn't helpful for the spacing kyrie needs to do his thing

Clay, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:48 (six years ago) link

ball had 4 blocks. alright

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:51 (six years ago) link

horford n kyrie have been running the pick n pop like crazy fwiw al currently shooting 47% from three

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 03:53 (six years ago) link

he was running p n' roll dropoffs to baynes quite a bit tonite. idk he just seems to *vibe* off of playing w/a big who can do stuff, whatever that stuff is.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 04:02 (six years ago) link

semi-related, none of his postgame interview answers made any sense, i have no idea how he actually functions in the world but he's really good at basketball.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 04:04 (six years ago) link

btw a reporter said on twitter that horford was hanging out w the team in the lockerroom before the game and seemed totally normal so it seems like this concussion isnt as bad as last years where he was laid up at home all fd up they wldnt even let him go online

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 04:10 (six years ago) link

that's good; if they got into trouble tonight it's mostly because semi and theis just had to play more minutes than they were ready for.

aron baynes had a few big games with the spurs in their last championship run. he's pretty athletic and strong and it doesn't surprise me that he'd do well with a dynamic point guard setting him up.

uh oh drummond 0-7 FTs tonight...

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 05:34 (six years ago) link

14 points / 21 boards and +28 isn't too bad tho

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:13 (six years ago) link

yeah and they won, i just want to believe so bad that he has become a good ft shooter

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:16 (six years ago) link

yeah, but i don't think he's a liability anymore and could do like 55% for the season, which would be a huge improvement.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:22 (six years ago) link

by december I'll probably be like "45% would still be better than his career avg!!"

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:23 (six years ago) link

lol for sure, if he coulud just somehow hold at like 60%

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:24 (six years ago) link

no screens! he said he mostly watched his child and took walks, wish i cld find the article there was a good quote from him on the strangeness of life when youre not allowed to do anything

Drummond missed a free throw wide right on his first attempt and I decided this isn’t happening

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:40 (six years ago) link

Julius Randle is shooting 62% from the field with a per 36 of 24-12-3-1-2. Gets 19 minutes per game...

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:42 (six years ago) link

lakers rotations this year have been completely insane clarkson shd obvs be starting in front of ball too, wonder whats going on there, where its coming from

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:44 (six years ago) link

why do they hate him?

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:44 (six years ago) link

there is some thing abt how his qualifying offer next year if he doesnt start much this year is cheaper but its not that much cheaper

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:48 (six years ago) link

and if he keeps playing like this someone is just gonna step up w a big offer anyway

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:50 (six years ago) link

not sure if clarkson should be the starter, he's a good bench spark plug imo and not really a point guard anyway. lakers should probably be on the hunt to get a solid stable vet PG to split time with lonzo

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:01 (six years ago) link

a jameer nelson type

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:01 (six years ago) link

havent seen bogut play yet, he's washed right?

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:02 (six years ago) link

do the lakers need to be good this year to avoid losing a pick?

if the dude can't shoot that's bad but he seems like a pretty good passer. He seems like he's on skates a lot on defense, though.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:05 (six years ago) link

bogut hasn't missed a free throw all season! or taken one

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:06 (six years ago) link

bogut played 5mins last night after missing some games and looked ready for bed the whole time
